I did not expect that I would be back in the UAE so soon! But the chance, or rather a voucher (albeit to another hotel), which I successfully won, allowed me to visit this magnificent country again. Without thinking twice, I decided to complete the freebie vacation with 6 nights of staying at the Beach Hotel Sharjah 3 *. I knew where I was going, we checked the hotel personally last year and gave it a credit! This year, we had our dearest and sweetest child with us, so the entertainment and excursion program was set up for her, but we didn’t really bother, because the plan to visit significant and interesting places in the UAE was almost completed by us last year ( except for Abu Dhabi), and nothing new has yet been set up (unfortunately), or something else has been closed, such as the Miracle Garden in Dubai.
So, the plan for the first 6 days (from September 17 to 23.2013) was as follows: visiting the aquarium in Sharjah, the Sharjah Zoo, visiting the fountains in the Al Majaz Park of Sharjah and I also wanted to visit the beaches of Al Mamzar Beach Park, and of course the sea and the beach are a must and as much as possible! The airarabia flight was excellent, of course we didn’t take a transfer - a taxi is faster, cheaper and you don’t have to wait for anyone. We met friends in Domodedovo who had vacationed with us last year, and decided to cooperate with them in a taxi. The retina was scanned this year, the child does not. Passed passport control in 20-30 minutes. This year, by the way, neither at the entrance nor at the exit there is a separate check-in and control queue for passengers with children. Dutik is in front of the retinal scan, it contains alcohol, perfume, chocolate.
If you didn’t have time to stock up, then only in Ajman (the price of the issue is 80 dirhams round-trip, the prices for alcohol are the same as in the dutik, the assortment is much larger, the store and the stall are side by side, if they are facing Ajman Beach or Ajman Kempinski, then about 50 meters on the left). Taxi in the UAE. I want to single out a separate topic, since this year we are just very unlucky (to put it mildly) with taxi drivers. If we drive a couple of blocks, everything is OK, but if the bill starts to exceed 40 dirhams on the counter, be prepared that they will start to deceive you. Firstly, many taxi drivers simply do not know where to take them, so be sure to have a map with you and point your finger at the place where you need to.

Secondly, if you lathered for a long distance, such as in the Sharjah Zoo, I recommend filming the road and the car with the meter and the readings on it, taxi drivers may either not know the road or wag on purpose (who will sort them out), and pay you . Thirdly, always have dirhams of different banknotes in cash, so calmly, you gave it away, and you don’t think that now the taxi driver will start a lecture that it was a difficult long journey and he should have thrown a couple of tens of dirhams for complexity. Fourthly, all taxi drivers have meters, pay attention to the fact that the taxi driver resets the meter when you get into the car, and there should be 3 or 3.5 dirhams when you land. The minimum price for a trip is 10 dirhams (even if the counter is 8). And in general, the catchphrase for taxi drivers, after which they immediately become respectable and honest, that you call the police!
In general, I never thought that in the UAE I would have to lose so many nerves to sort out financial relations with taxi drivers, and this is not at all an accident: out of 8 trips, 5 were disgusting. Well, where does it fit! In general, citizens, do not be afraid of taxi rides, but be vigilant and have at least a small idea of the places you want to visit on your own, and basic knowledge of English will not interfere. Let's move on to the number. Check-in went more than quickly. Instead of a deposit, they take passports. After 5 minutes we were already in our room 245. The room with a city view, as paid, is quite spacious, 2 beds, a cot was brought to the child. But such a rumble was from either a ventilation system or a kitchen hood, in short, some kind of electrical room nearby. We were not able to change the number on the same day, because there were no free rooms (the time was later), but they said that the rooms would be free tomorrow.
For accommodation, you should put all 3, well, you can’t put people in such a noise chamber, it doesn’t work out at all, but I put 4, because the reception is favorable to changing the room, they offer options without additional remuneration. According to my observations, very uncomfortable rooms due to the noise from 242 to 247. But we decided to spend the night somehow for six nights (to be honest, we are used to the noise-hum). And the next day they did not go to change anything. Room cleaning every day. They clean up well, change linen, towels, soap and soap accessories. About food. We only had breakfast. The range of dishes has not changed at all since last year. Everything is delicious, fresh and just perfect for a trio. We had dinner at Sanobar, the Al Khan fish restaurant, and we also discovered a restaurant across from these two. The restaurant is called Burj Al Khan.
Low prices, a large assortment of dishes, mostly meat, few fish, but there is, in short, I recommend it as a great option for dinner. Although I prefer Sanobar, the quality of service, speed and quality of food there are excellent, but the price is higher. We bought groceries in the Sharjah City Center at the Keafur supermarket. Very tasty dairy products and mangoes are cheap, as well as delicious grilled chicken. In the same center there is McDonald's and many other cafes. As well as a children's entertainment center next to the food court. Near the city center, if you go out and go left 2 shops with souvenirs and other households. utensils and cheap T-shirts (up to 10 dirhs) Sea, beach and pool. I am ready to forget all these damn taxi drivers just for the sake of the sea. Having been on the beach in Dubai near Burj Al Arab (open beach free), on the beach of Dubai Marina, I prefer the beach of this hotel. Well, a very good entry into the sea, the purity of the sea, its temperature, so comfortable for the body.

Remembering the UAE, I first of all remember the Persian Gulf and Sharjah Beach. This year we decided to pay a visit to the neighboring Grand and Carlton hotels, or rather to see the pools. Outsiders are not allowed in the Grand, but we were lucky (this is of course dubious luck), we managed to ride a hill and swim a little in the pool, a beach boy approached us and asked what room and hotel we were from, but I, looking into his eyes through black glasses, said with confidence that out of 245 and of course this hotel. So, the slide is certainly good, but the pool, a depth wild for me, hiding with my head not for me, thank you, a comfortable depth is only 1 meter long, and it seemed to me that there was no cooling of the pool, there was very warm water! And the children's pool is not covered by anything at all. For me, the Grand fails just because of the pool and that's enough! In Carlton, there is a good children's pool, covered with an awning, for an adult the depth begins abruptly, but at least you can swim.
Maybe this is my personal opinion, but the pools of our hotel are the most comfortable and pleasant, despite the fact that these are three stars. By the way, the pool at BEACH SHARJAH is the largest of all hotels in Sharjah, it cools very well. And the small pool is suitable even for very small children, because it has a comfortable depth and is covered with an awning from above. Towels for the beach are issued this year on cards that are given upon check-in at the reception. Excursion program. We went to the Sharjah Zoo on our own, or rather it is called Desert Park, it includes the Arabia Wildlife Center (the zoo is indoor, all animals are behind glass), a children's farm like a very small open zoo, and a natural history museum. Ticket 15 dirh, children under 12 free. Open Sun-Thu 9-17.30, Sat. 11-17.30, Fri. 14-17.30, Tue. Day off. Taxi cost us well, very expensive 170 dirhams round-trip and with an hour and a half waiting for us (I am silent about the extra tens of kilometers and my nerves spent on a taxi driver).
You are unlikely to catch a taxi back, so if you suddenly want to visit the zoo, keep in mind that it is located 26 km away. From the center of Sharjah, passing the airport and still well. One way costs about 80 dirhams. by counter. I think it's better to go on a Friday weekend, maybe there will be at least some people, and therefore a taxi, and also on Friday they ride camels. The zoo itself is interesting (but not so much as to pay that kind of money for the road, except to travel with a company) it is forbidden to shoot and photograph in it, all animals are behind glass, the room for people is air-conditioned, there is an inexpensive cafe inside.
We visited the Sharjah Aquarium last year. Admission is 20 dirhams, children under age are free. You need to exit the hotel to the right, walk about 300-500 meters in my opinion and you will see an interesting architectural building. And this year we again went there for the sake of our daughter, the aquarium is not bad, certainly not worse than the one in Dubai Mall.

Nearby there is some kind of playground, which we also could not pass by, although it was very hot. In general, this year the average temperature was +35 in comparison with last year's +45!
Fountains with laser light show in Sharjah at Al Majaz Park. Unfortunately, we were never able to see this spectacle. The schedule on the park's website is completely wrong, and the fountains, apparently, can only be seen on Fridays and Saturdays at 20.00, 20.30 and 21.00 (this is according to local residents). And these fountains are located in the park, which is opposite the Sharjah City center (where the transfer from the hotel goes), if you stand with your back to the central entrance of the center, go across the road and see the park straight ahead, and then go to the embankment. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out on Al Mamzar beach either, and I didn’t really want to visit then, because we didn’t need this pampering with the child, when we had our own excellent beach and pool under our noses. By the way, the hotel still provides a transfer to Dubai to Deira City Center at 11.15, 22.
00, picks up 12.16 and 21.00 respectively, the journey takes 20-40 minutes, which gives you a great chance to get to know Dubai on your own, because the metro is a stone's throw from the bus straight and to the right, and then go ahead, Dubai is waiting for you. This year, the second stop of the Nasser Skwea transfer (the old district of Dubai, a paradise for those who want to buy a new fur coat or the latest iPhone model) was canceled, so go there yourself by taxi or by metro. In conclusion, I want to say that you need to be able to, yes, it is to be able to relax! And it does not mean at all that if you have purchased a tour to an expensive hotel, your vacation was a success, and vice versa - even in an old three-ruble note you can fully relax. You yourself and only you are the guarantee of a good mood and the guarantor of new impressions and emotions.
