Only recently my husband and I and a small child returned from the Carlton Hotel. Even before the trip, after reading all the reviews, I thought that in vain I probably chose this hotel. But fortunately everything was much better than described in the reviews.
The hotel has many advantages: its own beach - clean light sand, a well-groomed small area (the child was not lost sight of), there are sunbeds, umbrellas. The sea has a gentle entry, the bottom is without sharp stones, the water is comfortable for swimming.
The staff is polite and always ready to help.
We took a room with a sea view - the sunsets are beautiful to watch). The room is good, everything worked fine. There is a kettle, bags of tea, coffee, cream and sugar are replenished daily. A 1.5 liter bottle of water is issued once upon check-in. Breakfast is standard as in other hotels - cereals, toast, fruit. The hotel also offers lunch and dinner for AED 25 ($6) per person. But we went to a restaurant of Russian cuisine - Kazan. Lunch with salad, soup, and toast cost about $70 for 3 people. My husband went to the supermarket "cooperative" (we were advised by the girl from whom we took excursions). The prices there are cheap for fruits, milk, yoghurts. He liked mango juices, bottled guava - 8-12 dirhs ($2-3). In the same store I changed money.
In the morning we went to the beach (beach. towels are issued free of charge).
During the day we rested in the room, or went on excursions. Friends recommended the SHAN Tours agency, they have an office in the Summerland Hotel. I strongly advise you to take an excursion to Abu Dhabi - this is the capital of the Emirates - a very beautiful green emirate, and the mosque is simply gorgeous, to Dubai - to the flower park, Dubai Mall - to look at the singing fountains. The guide was very charming. Planned for the future trip on a safari, to the Indian Ocean, to look at the dolphins.
I really liked that there were no drunken tourists in the hotel) There were locals who came for the weekend, but they did not interfere with our vacation.
