We booked a tour because it cost less than just buying tickets to Albania and did not even plan to live at the place of the tour, because they thought that Albania 2 * could turn out to be anything, they were determined to immediately go towards the Ionian Sea (Vlora - Saranda). But in the end, we stayed for 2 nights at the place of settlement - in a cozy, clean villa Leo in the center of the village of Mali and Robit - this is a 20-minute drive from the city of Durres. The place MiR, where Fortuna ended up in our case, is a typical seaside tourist village, with a bunch of cafes / restaurants / villas / hotels, there are supermarkets and even a park with a swimming pool at the hotel, which is away from the center, where you can take a sunbed and non-resident tourists, though 3 times more expensive than on the beach. The beaches themselves along the entire line of the village are relatively wide, with umbrellas and sunbeds, and the area, in fact, is even nicer than the city, because in Durres itself there are only narrow beaches and 2 lanes of hotels, after which the highway to Tirana immediately passes. We walked around the village in 1 day, tried local delicacies, really liked the family-type restaurant in the thickets near the mini attractions, with the best that we tried during the trip throughout Albania, homemade rakija and seafood, and, to the surprise of our neighbors, co-tourists, we went further . Of the pluses - the sea is very warm (for the first time they swam in such a place, it does not even cool down from the heat) and shallow, which is good for those with children. For a quiet tasty safe and comfortable family vacation in an unusual country - a great place. But, if you want real Albanian landscapes and do not want to move on your own, it is better to take a tour to Saranda or Vlora, where we got in the end. Of the nuances - they do not accept cards anywhere - payment is only in Leks or in Euros. But this is still everywhere in Albania, in larger cities you can withdraw cash from an ATM, but not always without an insane commission. Thanks for the tour tour operator TUI. Supported remotely in WhatsApp, and answered all questions about the return transfer.
