HOTEL:

I liked Riedlsperger pens very much. We chose one of the most inexpensive and did not lose. Smart hosts. The hotel is warm. Everything is very neat. The key to the room opened the entrance to the hotel, which is very convenient if you return late. We traveled with a group and occupied 3 double rooms in one wing 7.8, 9. They were slightly different, in our 7th there was a new carpet on the floor, in the 8th linoleum, in the 9th carpet with tracks on top. The bathrooms were also slightly different, we had a shower cabin in the 7th and 8th, and a curtain in the 9th. Everyone had balconies. LCD TV, hairdryer, safe. There is no refrigerator, but it was not needed, we kept everything spoiling on the balcony. There is no kettle, dishes, too - take it with you. We had, as the company had a 2-year-old child and took it with us. Ski storage in the basement. The dining room is decent, from food for breakfast cuts of meat, sausages, cheese, boiled eggs, tomatoes, peppers, bread, rolls, pates, muesli, milk, yogurt, tea, coffee, mountains. chocolate, apples.

From the hotel to the beginning of one and the main central street of Saalbach, 5 minutes walk along the sidewalk along the track, we also walked in ski boots several times, but it was difficult to get there. As a whole, I liked the hotel very much.

SKIS:

We were disappointed in skiing in Saalbach. We were unlucky with the weather, it was snowing all the time, the slopes were either opening or closing, we were at a time when the Alps were simply covered with snow. The sun was only one day on which sun loungers were set up at the top and you could sit sunbathing and ride comfortably. SKI CIRCUS is not what it looks like on the slopes map. Lots of dead ends, etc. The ski bus runs poorly, starting at 9 am and full. The worst thing is that the ski bus goes along the track and in the center of Saalbach the stop is the Schatberg Express lift - then got out, sat down and went up the mountain.
But if you want to climb the opposite slope, then you need to go to the lift in boots with skis on paving stones with snow or slush to the end of this main and only street. Practically only once we were able to climb the Schatberg Express to the top, we drove off to Longau for 7 km. On the track, we moved to another lift that took us to the opposite slope, all other times the schatberg either did not reach the top, or it snowed with the wind and we did not dare to leave in such weather, we were simply blown by the wind with snow back to the station. Without a helmet and goggles, you can't open your eyes. So now we don’t want to ride in Austria for a long time. In addition, the combination of price and quality is bad, ski passes and rentals are expensive. The slopes do not have time to waste, sometimes you notice that you are driving on virgin lands, there are many dangerous cliffs that are not fenced in any way. In short, skiing in Saalbach is not.

WHAT AFTER SKIING:

There are cafes, but they are defective. Space prices.

We went as early as two and did not discover anything for ourselves. This is not Zakopane with galonkas and Bansko with mechanics, there is a complete goljak here. In addition, supermarkets are open until 18-19-00. Walk - one street which is passed in 5 minutes, one souvenir shop. Once we went to Zell am See, also a village, only from 5 streets + there is nothing to catch the lake, we walked for an hour and returned. Kum rented a car for 3 days in Zell am See, because in Salzburg everything was busy, despite the reservation in advance from home. Cooosmos rental prices are 2 times more expensive than expected at Mozart airport + deposit. One day devoted to shopping in Salzburg. In the evening we climbed up the mountain to the fortress of Hohen Salzburg with a beautiful view of the city in the evening.

ABOUT THE TOUR OPERATOR:

Tour operator TEZ TOUR. The first side turned out when we boarded the plane in the Dnieper, we had a flight Dnepr-Salzburg, it turned out that we were still landing in Kyiv for 1 hour and this news was a surprise for everyone.
As a result, we sat on the plane in Kyiv for 2 hours. Total 1 hour to Kyiv + 2 hours on the plane in Kyiv + 2 hours from Kyiv to Salzburg = 5 hours, we were crazy. We ourselves will tolerate it, but a 2-year-old child has nothing to do with it. Back we were more lucky - the plane flew immediately to the Dnieper in just 2 hours, but the people of Kiev were not lucky - they were told to get off the plane, go through passport control, get luggage, and go to the internal terminal for another plane - people were angry.
In Salzburg met the guide, got on the bus, drove for an hour and a half. The guide did not say anything, turned on the CD with the audio guide, bullshit, the total population of Austria is 8 million. dullness sounded from the speakers in a sleepy voice.
Guide in Saalbach Veronica, she lived in our hotel Riddlesperger, I don’t know how such employees are generally kept in such decent companies. She just lives there and does not interfere with anyone, I still could not understand her functions, apparently they simply do not exist.

They tried to find out how best to organize a vacation there with a 2-year-old child, where to go, schools, children's entertainment - they got nothing from her. On the last day, information about the departure should be in the folder at the reception in the morning - there is nothing, the godfather went to her room in the afternoon - she came out sleepy. We went to their office several times, it says in the mail it works from 8-20 without days off - 5 times we went it was closed. We didn’t buy excursions, since there was a rental car, we organized excursions ourselves. They also asked this Veronica to help with the rent e car - nifiga, not pierced - go to Zell am See and look for yourself there. This is how one person ruins the reputation of the company. When the guide is adequate, and tourists ask for rent, then the car is driven to the hotel, this is not the first time we have rented a car abroad.
In general, I liked the trip if you do not pay attention to all the snags, but it doesn’t pull on skiing in vaunted Austria.
