I have not seen this even in the cheapest hotels in Vietnam for $ 1 per day. It was dirty, wet and nasty. We had to collect all our things at night, pack our bags and move to another room at the KapHouse hotel at 5 in the morning. In the morning I applied with a claim to the reception. There they told me that - "everything is fine because I did not have to sleep until morning under a cold shower. "To further solve the problem, I asked the boy from the reception to call his boss. This was simply refused to me and, finally, insults addressed to me followed. It is worth noting a number of features of the KapHouse hotel, which are not mentioned in advertising and on their website - The lighting in the room is sooo weak. And in the bathroom, in general, there is enough light only to see where the toilet is. . Bed linen is only partially available, it is offered to sleep simply on a mattress in a cover. The walls are dirty and cracked. Internet and television were unavailable almost all the time. I turned to the reception with a request to exchange money - they tried to cheat and exchange at a low rate. We will never go to the KapHouse hotel again and we do not advise you. If you still find extreme lovers, I advise you to take an umbrella with you when you go to bed.

We have just returned from a vacation, which we decided to spend this winter in the ski capital of Bulgaria, the city of Bansko. I'll start with the fact that I had not rested in Bulgaria before, and to be honest, I had some concerns about this resort. We traveled a lot around Europe, skiing with my husband before that only once in Zakopane and I fell in love with this type of vacation from the first time, as soon as the legs on the skis touched the snow (well, the truth was not without bruises and pleasant muscle pain, but this already "production costs"))). … More ▾ We have just returned from a vacation, which we decided to spend this winter in the ski capital of Bulgaria, the city of Bansko.
So, with a vacation in Bulgaria, I only associated my grandmother's stories about her youth with exciting memories of how everyone told her during her vacation in Bulgaria how she looked like some of their famous singer. Therefore, the parallel “vacation in Bulgaria is the dream of every inhabitant of the Soviet Union” was deposited in my head and I was afraid that little had changed since that time. But the crisis and the jump in currency prices made itself felt, so instead of the originally planned trip to Austria, after much persuasion from the travel agent, they still booked a week in Bulgaria. First of all, I bribed the cost of the tour and reviews that ski passes, meals and other services would be at a very reasonable price.
It is worth saying a few words about how we got there. Initially, we looked at several options, but decided to fly through Greece. More precisely, we flew to Thessaloniki, where we were met by the tour operator Mouzenidis (it turns out that they are not only involved in Greece, they used to fly with them to Corfu), and three and a half hours later we were in Bansko. We passed the border quickly - we drank coffee for half an hour and drove on. We also looked at other options - to fly to Plovdiv or Sofia, but there the transfer takes about five hours and the roads, judging by the reviews, are serpentine, and in Sofia you can get into terrible traffic jams ((And on the way back for the night we stayed in Thessaloniki, at the Grand Hotel, Overnight at the airport.
I will also write a couple of lines about Bansko itself, since the issue of apr? s-ski was also very relevant for us. Still, as much as I didn’t like to ride, I want to do something else. The town is cute, with cobbled streets, small of course, but everything you need is there: bowling, a water park, a skating rink, billiards, discos, a bunch of mehans - local cuisine establishments with huge delicious dishes (a huge plate of meat was taken for 7 euros, translated from lion), a spa in almost every hotel (there are outdoor and indoor pools with mineral springs). Bansko is divided by the river Glazke into 2 parts - old and new. And hotels, respectively, are in the local ethnic style, and there are typical modern ones, no worse than in other popular resorts. The main street where our Kaphouse Hotel 3*+ was located is called Pirin. The location of the hotel is generally ideal, as it takes 5-7 minutes to walk to the center and 3 to the gondola lift! The most important thing in the hotel is the homely cozy atmosphere created by the hostess Elena, who treats each guest as if she were her own. Elena, if you are reading these lines, thank you so much and hope to see you again!
The hotel has a room for ski equipment, but by the way, you can store it for free in the gondola lift chalet (at least for the clients of our tour operator for sure). A big plus is Wi-Fi throughout the territory, but its quality pleased us intermittently. More precisely, it’s normal to sit in social networks, or check your mail, but it’s already harder to download a movie.
Regarding food, we took only breakfast, quite standard, we did not remain hungry, but without any special frills. We talked with different hotel neighbors - the reviews for dinner are different, some people like it very much, some every other time. The rooms are normal, everything worked, and most importantly, it's warm in the room. Cleaned well, linen changed a couple of times. Another shortcoming, suddenly it is important for someone - it is difficult to call it a fitness room, for example, several simulators. We went to the sauna to warm up the muscles - I liked it)
We didn’t go on excursions, but after a very emotional story from one neighbor who went on an excursion to the village where Vanga lived, I really wanted to go there)))
Another pleasant moment was that at the beginning of the season there was a 50% discount on the ski pass! In short: we do not regret that we went, and the mountains are gorgeous, and the people are hospitable.

"Just came down from the mountains" the impressions are excellent. A small cozy hotel, excellent cuisine, the hotel has its own "Salt and Pepper" machine, from what we managed to try: there was "wow", it was good. The atmosphere is appropriate - national. The staff is friendly, responsive. Spa treatments are available, but for me they are weak: a swimming pool for swimming, not for swimming, a sauna for warming, not for relieving stress, a Jacuzzi is weak, just sleep. … More ▾ "Just came down from the mountains" the impressions are excellent. I remember with great pleasure the comfort of this hotel. The Italian (Campitello) and Austrian (Kaprun) three-star hotels are definitely far from KapHouse in many respects: the presence of a private sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, bathrobes, breakfast, convenient location, free Wi-Fi in the rooms. It is better to dine in Bansko on your own in various Mehans - you will get a lot of impressions and pleasure. … More ▾ I remember with great pleasure the comfort of this hotel. We rested in Kap House 3 * with two families - three adults and children 12 and 13 years old. I really liked the hotel. The only negative is the monotony for breakfast, but these are trifles! The staff, led by the owner Elena and her husband, are very responsive and attentive people. In order not to walk in boots and with skis to the ski lift, Elena offered to store everything at the Pirin rental, and you can even walk 100 meters in boots. … More ▾ We rested in Kap House 3 * with two families - three adults and children 12 and 13 years old. The first thing I like is the atmosphere of the hotel. formed by very attentive staff. purity. comfort. cosiness. after the cold mountain slopes, it was wonderful to return to the bubbling jacuzzi-robe - a very warm room! I want to separately note the owners of the hotel - they show such attention to their guests. … More ▾ The first thing I like is the atmosphere of the hotel. formed by very attentive staff. purity. comfort. cosiness. after the cold mountain slopes, it was wonderful to return to the bubbling jacuzzi-robe - a very warm room! We were at the hotel in January - February 2011. We are absolutely delighted with the hotel, if you are aware of where you are going (post-Soviet country) and pay little money. The hotel has 2 minuses - a very modest breakfast and relatively small rooms. In all other respects, we would give a four. The hotel is very clean, tidy, comfortable, it was even hot in the rooms, sometimes we slept with the window open, the owners and staff are very polite, they respond to all requests, everyone tells, prompts, and, importantly, they speak Russian well. … More ▾ We were at the hotel in January - February 2011. Another big plus, the hotel is located in the very center of Bansko and very close to the ski lift (10 minutes walk).
Thus, for relatively little money, you can rent a very decent hotel room. But, if anyone wants chic and show-off, then they are not here.
If we go to Bansko again, then only to this hotel!

I really liked the hotel. I occupied a room in the attic under the roof. For one person it is normal, for two it would be a little cramped, so I put 4 for the room. But everything else is as promised. Warm, always hot water, everything is clean and tidy. It was quite quiet and comfortable. Terry bathrobes, the presence of a hair dryer and other little things are very handy, especially with a limited amount of luggage. … More ▾ I really liked the hotel. People who have been there keep in touch with her (she speaks good Russian). If you will be there, send greetings from Lyudmila from Kyiv : ))
