Who was here? Is there anything to catch in terms of wheelchairs?
Vitosha, sort of like next to Sofia. There was an idea to fly there for a couple of days just to ride. Like an alternative to Buku.
Questions:
1. What are your impressions if you were there. What's with the snow usually at the end of February and March. Does it make sense to plan for March?
2. How to get optimally inexpensive (1-2 people will go) directly from Sofia Airport.
3. As with rentals, queues for lifts and rentals.
Thanks

I was five years ago. Bulgarian friends drove to Mount Vitosha, to look at Sofia "from a bird's eye view" (this is "entertainment" among the capital's residents and an obligatory item of the entertainment program for guests). I don’t know anything about skiing, and I visited Vitosha in September, but the “general impressions” are: broken roads, Soviet buildings ... In general, neither Vitosha nor the view of smoky Sofia impressed me.

All your questions depend only on 1 - snow. If it is, it is fashionable to boldly ride, if not, then you will go to Borovets. Well, traditionally I recommend not to go on weekends, since half of the Sofia skiers will gather a hundred pounds there, half will leave for Bansko-Pamporovo.
As for accommodation, it's a national park. There are no hotels at the foot and on the mountain, so it is optimal to live in the Dragalevtsi quarter, Simeonovo (look at booking - full of offers), but from almost anywhere in Sofia you can get to Vitosha by public transport. Optimally from the airport - by taxi. There are lifts, a gondola to the very top.
Sofia has changed a lot in recent years, so it's worth a try. I would look at the end of February for a guarantee of snow. Monitor webcams, in theory, they promise cold weather and snow at the end of this week

Thank you! Considers her husband as an alternative to Bukovel. It’s just that you won’t get to Buk for a couple of hours from Kyiv, and Visas to Sofia are easy) That is, it’s purely for the sake of a wheelchair and purely for a couple of days.
And queues on a snowy weekend, as I understand it, cannot be avoided? It's not worth flying for the sake of Borovets, it's probably better not to fly at all. Far from our goal)))
