The hotel was chosen from a certain price range based on reviews. The choice fell on Gradina.
From Varna airport delivered to the hotel around 9-10 in the morning - could not settle immediately. But they didn't really count on it.
The room was on the 7th floor. Every day 4 floors on foot, then on the elevator - but it did not bother. The room has a balcony overlooking the hotel garden and a side view of the sea - very much even nothing, except that almost nothing separated from the balconies of neighboring rooms. On the balcony there is a stool and 2 plastic chairs, a dryer. In the room - all of the declared. Purely. But! There is practically no soundproofing with one of the neighboring rooms. We didn’t have to listen - even with the TV turned on relatively loudly, we heard the neighbors (what can we say in silence at 7 in the morning - when we so wanted to calmly soak up the bed, but we had to listen to the news and their discussion from the neighbor).

We only had breakfast. We (two friends) were fine. It was almost impossible not to overeat.
There is a small pool nearby - but it has such smelly water (chlorine or the like) that we only swam there once and sunbathed a couple of times.
The location of the hotel is good - a bit away from the hustle and bustle, but close to the sea.
We went mainly to the Riviera beach (although from the third day they refused to let us in through the entrance of the hotel for free (we had to pay at the entrance for the sunbeds), but we made a circle and went to the beach from the free side)) and paid directly to the boy on the beach who did us a discount all 7 days of rest.
In general, after Montenegro, Bulgaria seemed boring to me. Breakfast - beach - lunch - beach - evening at a bar or at a disco. And so every day. Yes - the beach is great, the weather is wonderful, the air is clean. Really relaxed. But on the fourth day I wanted to howl. An independent trip to the Eladzha Monastery was a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of walking around Budva and its environs. There are only a few interesting places for excursions from the resort. If it were not for the trip to Istanbul, it would be quite sad. Went for 1 day. I don't regret it. The bus is good - the trip did not tire me much, but I got a lot of impressions. We also went to Cape Kaliakra and the Botanical Garden of Balchik. I liked the cape. The garden is normal. Yes, and it was very hot, that there was only one desire - faster in an air-conditioned bus.
Golden Sands is a German resort. The Germans are all around. Rude, boorish, they start the conversation with “Are you from Germany? ” and if the answer is "No", then you can not hear anything else in response)))
In general: I arrived, I rested, I forgot - Bulgaria left such a mark in my heart.
