We stayed in this hotel in June 2011. I'll start in order: Domodedovo airport is completely loaded, we stood at passport control for 2 hours. The flight was to Varna at 13.25, everything was on schedule, no flight delays (S7 Siberia Airlines). In Varna, we were met by the guide of the TUI tour operator and brought to the hotel (40 minutes drive to Golden Sands). The check-in was very fast, they gave a room with a sea view on the fourth floor (they didn’t pay anything! ), but given that there is another 0 floor and -1, this is quite high. The room is excellent, everything is clean and tidy, but there is no safe, the safe is only at the reception (35 leva for 7 days, which is about 700 rubles for our money). The mini bar is filled with water, juices, pepsi and alcohol, BUT everything is paid! ! ! The room is cleaned every day, towels are changed daily too.

Meals: There is half board and all inclusive. Half board drinks only at dinner! We took all inclusive. No indigestion or poisoning.

There was no queue at the restaurant, the dishes were clean. Breakfast, brunch in the lobby bar (fruits, desserts), lunch, snacks (pizza, pastries, fruits), dinner.
From drinks water, juices, iced tea, Pepsi, tea, coffee. Alcohol: cocktails, whiskey, brandy, vodka, mastic, vermouth, tequila, gin, white and red wine are very tasty. The food is varied (certainly not Turkish abundance, but this is enough). Something is repeated from day to day, but there is also something interesting. For dinner there is meat, sausages, fish and all sorts of meatballs fried on a barbecue.
Twice there was a themed dinner Italian and Bulgarian. From fruits peaches, oranges, apples, bananas, watermelon! ! ! There is ice cream for lunch and dinner.

Entertainment: there are practically none, there is animation by the pool twice a week at 10.30 on Tuesdays and Saturdays. And so you have to look for entertainment yourself. There are a lot of them on the promenade (walking street along the sea).

Beach: The sea is clean, but still cool.
There was a storm twice, but the next day the weather is clear and you can safely swim. Everything is paid on the beach, the hotel does not have its own beach (like most hotels). One sunbed is 8 leva (160 rubles), an umbrella is 8 leva, it seems not expensive, but when compared with the prices of fruits, the cost of 1 sunbed is 4 kg of cherries! ! ! But there is a Free zone on the beach, near the sea and behind the sun loungers, you can lie down with your blanket and umbrellas. The road to the beach takes about 7 minutes, if not in a hurry, we walked through the Berlin Hotel, where the path is more civilized. On the beach, of course, there is no bar from the hotel, all drinks must be bought for the time being.

Swimming pool: there are three of them: for children and adults, open and closed. By the pool, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on the all-inclusive system are free of charge. Sun loungers with mattresses and umbrellas by the pool free of charge.

Money exchange: DO NOT CHANGE MONEY ON THE STREET in stalls with the inscription CHANGE, a complete scam! ! ! The course does not match.

The exchange was made at the tour operator, or at the Raiffeisen bank (Admiral Hotel), everything is honest there!

Shopping: there is not expensive silver, leather souvenirs, ceramics. If you keep local alcohol as souvenirs, then you should buy it in shops, and not in Duty Free, there is not a big choice. There are a lot of inexpensive beach and summer clothes and shoes, if you forgot something, you can buy it for ridiculous money, and you can also buy clothes for the summer, and of good quality. On the trays there are analogues of branded bags and wallets at very affordable prices. But if you go to Varna on your own, then it is still much cheaper there than in Golden Sands. We got to Varna by city bus, found a bazaar with fruits and clothes, and a separate bazaar with souvenirs.

Population: Everyone is very talkative, friendly, smiling. They will help and prompt if something is not clear. Most people speak Russian, both the staff and the people on the streets, so there are no problems with the language.
Excursions: The most interesting are Nessebar - the old town, St. Constantine and Elena - mineral hot springs and Balchek.

Vacationers: mostly families with children, couples, but there are also young people. The hotel is focused on a quiet relaxing holiday, without the noise of music at night and the yelling of party people. We really enjoyed our holiday in general!
Everything is inspired by Europe, and in a few years, I am sure, Bulgaria will find its niche in tourism.
P. S. No hassle with check-in, plumbing, no cockroaches! ! !

To everyone who travels to Bulgaria good weather and a great holiday! ! ! !
