The building also has a theater, very unusual. The rooms themselves are ordinary, nothing special, but comfortable and clean, there is everything you need. The children learned to snowboard, they prepared performances, how it was very pleasant for mother that the children were busy with useful work and were satisfied themselves. The overall impression is very good, at least from the ski resorts one of the best places where I have been.

Vilars-Sur-Ollon Club Med is a European holiday hotel system - all inclusive. The hotel building was built at the beginning of the 20th century - the rooms with high ceilings were very impressive. There is a large fireplace in the hall. Our room was small but very comfortable, our friends had bigger ones and with a balcony, but they were with 2 children. The interiors are not new, in some places you can do a little cosmetics. But the atmosphere created by the staff under the direction of the director - compensates for everything. Every evening animation and entertainment, despite the difference in language (basic French), there was fun - just a fraternization of peoples. I would like to note in particular that the attitude towards Russians is very good - we were congratulated on our Christmas, greeting cards and chocolate souvenirs for adults were laid out in the rooms, children received small funny toys. It was a pleasure! And for the gala dinner, sea delicacies were served and in such quantity... they barely left the table... it was very tasty!
In general, food should be noted especially - the highest rating for cooks and cooks.
Well organized ski schools, professional trainers.
And for those who do not ride super leisure - a SPA center with an outdoor heated pool - and all this in the mountains...

I did not like categorically everything - accommodation, service, food. In order: it took a long time to choose where to go - calling the office of the club honey, I came across a dismissive attitude of managers (they were rude to almost all my friends, as a result, many ordered from other TAs), sent my husband there - another conversation, they talk to the men in the office of the club honey yourself differently. … More ▾ I did not like categorically everything - accommodation, service, food. We chose Villars on their recommendation, because we were traveling with children. Tickets were ordered from them, in August, with a flight through Amsterdam. received tickets before departure in December, at Sheremetyevo they learned that our ticket from Amsterdam was canceled, they transferred to another one, as a result of which the docking took 1.5 hours, and 6. We booked a duplex, two rooms, with a common door. The rooms are small, filled with old creaky furniture, so that the door to the next room opens, the cabinets were moved and as a result they occupied the passage to the corridor and still the door to the next room did not open completely. The ceilings are wooden, so you can hear your neighbors a lot. interior for an amateur - red walls, black doors. Everywhere energy-saving low-power light bulbs, so the hotel is twilight. The rooms are cold, the battery is a little warm, there is nowhere to dry things. The bathroom has a dark tile, falling off in places (309), rubbed with cement! No bathrobes, no slippers. Jars with shampoos, etc. , were put only on a trip. the impression that they save on everything. Opponents may say that they came to ride - there is nothing to think about comfort - I can answer them by saying that for such a price I came not only to ride, but also to get a comfortable rest in all respects. Friends in the room did not close the balcony door at all, appeals to the reception with a request to fix it did not have the proper result. More than 200 Russian people stayed at the hotel. At the same time, the staff was absolutely not ready for this - there was not a single leaflet-announcement in Russian, the knowledge of English among the staff left much to be desired, they invited an interpreter from Russian into French Francois - he was in great demand. The fireplace at the reception was not lit, explaining that "there is no one to watch" ?? ? The breakfasts are very simple, the natural juice was of the same type - multivitamin porridge, the choice of cheeses, pastries, sausages - negligible. For dinner, gourmet cuisine was served - foie gras, frogs, mussels, oysters. But as always happens, they lost in quality. Everyone with whom I met and with whom we arrived had signs of poisoning, the children had a pronounced intestinal infection - the hotel doctor called this epidemic "Alpine flu"! and that was the end of it - no one heeded the request to take tests - "take smecta. " . As for the children's club, due to the fact that the animators were French, Russian children, for the most part, ran around the hotel, played robber Cossacks, they entertained themselves after skiing. Ski groups - everything is well organized, clear, rental, distribution into groups, etc. The skiing itself is for adults - the tracks seemed short to me, but everything is fine. Another tense moment - all the hotel staff ate with the guests in one restaurant, shamelessly discussing the guests and sometimes sitting at the tables longer than the rest. I think that this should not be - haute cuisine involves a slightly different way of eating, right? A few more points - the Internet is paid - 11 francs per hour, works intermittently, one photo, independently print or on disk - 25-30-35 depending on the size! francs (probably photographer Vlad Loktev) This is my impression of the rest. Switzerland itself and the Alps are beautiful, but neither I, nor any of my friends will go to the Med Club. Hello French. .

Before that, we had not had a chance to ride in the Alps, all the more pleasant to realize that the first experience turned out to be so successful. I want to share my impressions with lovers of skiing and not only.
We actively rested at the Villars Palace hotel, which operates under the Club Med system, we also met this system for the first time - this is an all-inclusive, familiar to us, but in a European way. And so, in order.
1. Flight.
We flew from Kyiv to Geneva via Paris. From Geneva, a transfer took us 1.5 hours to our hotel in Villars.
2. Settlement.
We arrived at the place only at 11 pm local time, but despite the late arrival, we were immediately given the keys to the room and kindly invited to the restaurant for dinner. After dinner we had a quick look around and found our hotel wonderful. There was a Russian-speaking manager at the hotel, however, as he himself explained to us, that for the first time this hotel hired him and only for a week, since for the first time so many Russian-speaking vacationers came to this hotel precisely for the Christmas week. We were told that we still have to enroll at the ski school in a group according to the level of our skiing. For us it was a curiosity, but we figured it out without difficulty. The road affected our fatigue, and we went to the room, because tomorrow we were waiting for the first day of skiing. Our luggage was kindly delivered to our room.
3. Number.
The room is not very large (the room is about 12 m2, a bathroom with a shower, an entrance hall), but by European standards it is quite normal. And, knowing from experience, on skis in the room you only take a shower, change clothes and “fall” to sleep. In the room - a huge bed (or rather two shifted), bedside tables, two wardrobes, LCD. TV, safe, dressing table, chair, armchair. What else does a person need in a ski resort?
4. Food and drinks.
Food according to the all-inclusive system is beyond praise. What they didn’t serve us: all kinds of meat (pork, beef, lamb), poultry (chickens, ducks, quail), fish (salmon, trout, tuna, red mullet), seafood (mussels, shrimp, squid, oysters), vegetables, fruits , cheeses, excellent desserts and whatever your heart desires. Everything is very tasty and varied. Once we visited a fondue restaurant (free of charge, by appointment), it was interesting to try this dish in its homeland. The main restaurant serves unlimited wines (white, rose and red) and draft beer "Cardinal". The bar serves any drinks and makes exotic cocktails - this is also included. In general, I liked “European-style all-inclusive” much more than in Turkish and Egyptian. It was a revelation to me that this system exists in Europe.
5. Hotel.
The hotel offers free use of the sauna, hammam, outdoor pool, fitness room and exercise equipment. For a fee - a chic Spa.
6. Children.
Due to the fact that the best conditions have been created for them (food, entertainment, children's clubs by age, etc. ), there are, of course, a great many of them - this is the only thing that bothered us in the evening. But for parents who have young children and at the same time want to go skiing, this is salvation, because. The kids are there all day long.
7. Animation.
In the evenings, performances of a very decent level are presented to the attention of vacationers. The bar has live music in the evenings, and a disco from 10.00 to 12.00.
8. Skiing.
And now the most important thing! Exactly what we went there for. The all-inclusive system here went even further and included a ski pass for 6 days and an instructor for 5 days. The hotel has a skyroom with ski rental (skis and boots of excellent quality) with storage boxes for skis and boots. From the skyroom there is an exit to the lift, which raises to the main fork of the slopes. The instructors accompany the groups (we had a group of up to 8 people) from the skyroom to the return to the hotel. Tracks for every taste, a lot of different lifts. The slopes are groomed and groomed. Our hotel in the mountains has its own restaurant, where all skiers from our hotel come for lunch. The range of this restaurant includes mulled wine and all drinks, as well as the soup of the day and a good selection of dishes on the buffet.
At first we were very worried about how we would skate in groups all the time, because we are not used to this. Usually the two of us do not always ride together, but here as a whole group. After all (as it seemed to us) we will worry so as not to lag behind, so that everyone does not wait in case of something, so as not to get lost. But all our fears were in vain. Cool knowledgeable instructors, perfect fans of their craft, know how to arrange work in groups. They helped us a lot to improve our technique, and also were guides on the slopes, because at first you can get lost there. There are no Russian-speaking instructors (at least not yet), but everyone speaks English.
An amazing vacation gave us a charge for the whole year and made us fall in love with these mountains. “Better mountains can only be mountains that you have not yet been to. ” I hope that this was not our last trip to the Alps. I recommend this hotel for all lovers of skiing and winter holidays in general.
