We went on a trip with a friend and our daughters. Flight Novosibirsk-Urumqi-Beijing - Urumqi-Novosibirsk. We flew through Urumqi, because the flight was much cheaper than directly to Beijing. However, it turned out to be very tiring, on arrival in Beijing it was raining, the climate there is very humid. We were met wonderfully, the hotel is in the city center, officially 3 stars, but a very clean room, the rooms were cleaned perfectly, the breakfast buffet. not as plentiful and varied as in Turkey, but European, the choice of dishes was not left hungry. We were in Beijing for 5 days, there was a rich excursion program. We visited the forbidden city, on the Chinese wall, in numerous parks in Beijing. We watched the Chinese circus. Everything was just great. The city was preparing for the Olympics. Cleanliness is just perfect. For lunch, we always visited Chinese restaurants. Their cuisine is original, there are a lot of dishes to choose from, you can always choose to your taste. 5 days of our vacation passed in one breath. Poi when we arrived in a canoe, all the positive emotions from Beijing were spoiled. Firstly, no one met us on the platform. Our leader talked on the phone for a long time with the host, after an hour of waiting we were finally met on a terribly dirty bus (the exact opposite of the meeting in Beijing). They brought us to another hotel, explaining that ours was busy, because the leaders of their Communist Party had a congress. We refused to check into that hotel, it was 2 stars without hot water, 20 minutes walk to the beach. There were long negotiations, we were taken on excursions all day long, fed in restaurants, although we only had breakfast. Only at night, the exhausted were brought to another hotel, where we had to wait another 6 hours before we were settled. After spending the night in this hotel, the next day with things we went on excursions and only in the evening we were settled in our hotel. There was no beach at the hotel, although it was on the 1st line, there was a paid city beach on it. I had to walk to the beach for about 10 minutes. But it would be better if there was no dirty sea at all, the local population swims near the coast on car cameras. The entire coast is black by 12 o'clock from the sight of these cameras, all the sand has been lifted from the bottom. The Chinese in the main mass do not know how to swim, they go into the water with chest-deep cameras and splash at the same time they manage to spit into the water right there. The sight is not for the faint of heart. In a word, we went to the sea to swim early in the morning, when the water was cleaner, in the afternoon there was nothing to do there at all. Our black sea in Sochi, compared to the yellow one in a canoe, is simply crystal. In a word, they counted the days until departure. Basically, our seaside vacation turned into shopping, all our tourists did just that, that they went shopping, bargained. And you can buy a lot of things there, from trinkets, shoe textiles to boats, but we have one tourist who bought a rubber boat for herself, she and her husband often raft down the river, and in China it turned out to be 50% cheaper than in Russia. She was carrying such a weight, she weighed about 30 kg. So I don’t recommend anyone who is going to relax on the sea in a canoe, but in terms of shopping, you can go. But I would not go for the second time even for ridiculous money.
