Honeymoon in Cuba
I'll try to write a short review. We rested in October, from 04 to 17, in Cuba - the rainy season... but it rains only at night, during the day - super-super-super weather)))
From the very beginning:
Flight there. For a long time, more than two hours to Paris, in Paris the wait is about five hours, then to Havana more than ten hours... I flew there after a bachelorette party, not quite sober, because I didn’t notice the flight to Paris at all, in Charles de Gaulle I smoked in the men’s toilet , and during the flight to Havana for the fifth time I watched Terminator-4, X-Men Wolverine and other relative novelties for that period... In general, I survived the drunken flight normally)))
We were met at the airport by an uncle who drove us from Havana to Varadero in a Skoda with air conditioning (and it was +32 outside), smiled all the time, allowed us to smoke in the car, and in general, was very nice
At the hotel upon arrival - a glass of champagne (favorite brut) and a quick check-in to the room. OOOOOOO was very pleased with the absence of "collars" on the hand;
On the very first night, we walked along the beach… the water is hot, the sand is the smallest and most delicate… the rum is soft (which is average), everything is very calm, quiet and clean…
Room: double bed (non-creaky), white linen, cool bathroom, white bathrobes, coffee maker, air conditioner, and also - a miracle (!!!! ) - a fan above the bed))))
Well, there is also a board with an iron, a TV set, a guest area, but we didn’t care about that)))

The beach during the day turned out to be even better than at night... the water is clear and warm-warm... the sky is clear... although lightning flashed late at night... there are very few people (probably due to the fact that the hotel has enough pools, one of which is with a bar, in which you don’t need to go out either in the sun or out of the water... ) by the way, there is a bar on the beach where they feed and drink when you want )))
The cuisine is excellent, we found it for the first time in the resorts)))) a lot of seafood, a lot of food native to us))) only soups are not enough, and those are for dinner... my husband tormented the cooks who cook “in front of you”, I was satisfied with what was it’s already done... The waiters are virtue itself . . and for a dollar (preferably local) - they will love you until the end of the holiday))))
The hotel area is nice, green, with water, only the water sometimes smells unpleasant...
In bars, they do whatever you want, even what is not on the menu . . however, there are interruptions with mint, because majito is not always available, but almost always)))
Staff: all kind, calm and not in a hurry))) I broke a few glasses on my DR, so the waitress, collecting the pieces, sang and smiled at me . .
The cleaning of the rooms was daily and sincere))) for a dollar tip a day, the girl made us patterns (bad but cute) on the bed from towels, put us extra water and put extra coffee )))
In general, the hotel is super-super))
Now excursions: my husband likes to sit in one place, I like to rummage around where I don’t get... we found a compromise - we flew to the Caribbean, went to Havana and rode scooters in the world. Everything was wonderful Unlike Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia, you should not look around the corner for cheaper entertainment - in Cuba everything is state-owned, therefore all prices for excursions are the same, regardless of whether you book them at a hotel or go directly...
Caribbean - delicious lobsters, green Caribbean Sea, amazing island of iguanas, hot-hot, tiny planes (the feeling of safety is much stronger than in Boeing), everything is soulful))))
Havana - do not listen to the guide about shops with rum and cigars... the prices for rum are the same everywhere - both in shops in Havana and in hotels, and cigars near the Capitol can be bought from cigar factory workers at a bargain price (for example, we bought cigars for $ 80, which in the store are 650), however, you feel like a participant in the movie "Don't Be a Menace to the South Center While Drinking in Your Neighborhood". And super - CANYON !!!!
Scooters in the sea - take a Russian-speaking guide!! ! He will show the surroundings cool, let him go to an island with magnificent shells, take him to where Britons, Germans and Canadians are not taken, in general, a cool excursion))) current, get ready to hide your cameras, phones and watches away from sea spray...
There were also numerous trips on scooters around Varadero and the surrounding area
I took a long time with a review... in general, everything was super-super))) people are awesome, nature, climate is super, hotel is cool, staff is excellent, cuisine and bars are wonderful, ocean is the best in the world)))))) )))
The flight back is faster than going there... but the horror is that I missed my car, so I flew away sober... we flew into the night, lightning struck, the plane shook, it was scary . . but eight-odd hours, half an hour of waiting in Paris , then more than two more hours of flight, - and at home, in the cold, dampness and dullness ((((((((((((
But the impressions remained unforgettable)))))
And finally - 1 euro at the time of our stay there cost 1.2 convertible Cuban pesos, 1 dollar - 0.75 convertible Cuban pesos, settlement everywhere - only in them (except for the hucksters on the square near the Capitol, well, and other hucksters too)) )
There is little in Havana duty free, and there you also need to pay in convertible Cuban pesos.
But in any case, Cuba is worth it to go there once, and then return there again and again...
