To cook on your own, find a more or less decent supermarket (not one that is close to the beach and they sell everything there, but a little bit, but a bigger network one). Another option is if you stop by a non-tourist city, such as Paralimni, which is relatively close to Ayia Napa, there are like only locals there, and it can be cheaper. Only there shops on some days, I remember, worked until 15.00 or something like that. By the way, if you do not disdain))), it is relatively inexpensive to eat at McDonald's - approx. 5 euros for the menu (it's called meal there).
