Excuse the pun, but what can you do, Egypt is also Egypt in Africa. Oskom has already been filled with reviews of offended tourists who are “monotonously” fed in hotels and are not treated the same way as Italians, British, French and other representatives of “decaying” Europe.

I will write about my impressions of my stay in this country. They are contradictory, but, nevertheless, I have not yet found an alternative to an inexpensive vacation in the winter. My family's favorite vacation time in Egypt is early to mid-February. Maybe this was how the circumstances developed, maybe there were last-minute tours, but at that time we always flew quite cheaply.

There are not very many people in February, after all, it is not spring break, and the water is not 30 degrees. But the sun is already gentle, warms and gives a gentle tan. If sometimes a breeze blows, then it is warm enough, you will not “shrink” from the cold.

I should note that daylight hours in February Egypt are very short. Therefore, you can swim in the sea only until 5 pm. After 5 hours it gets dark instantly and it is not recommended to go into the water. Fish that a tourist admires during the day can become a source of danger at night. Therefore, you need to have time to enjoy swimming in the sea and admiring its indescribable beauties before dark.

Of course, not everyone will be able to scuba dive, but everyone who knows how to swim is obliged to swim in a mask and fins. God, how diverse and bright is the underwater world of this sea! I will never forget the moray eel that swam up and froze in front of me at a distance of 30 cm. This is a bewitching sight! It's worth a look!

By the way, if you want to show all the living creatures of the Red Sea to children, I recommend choosing hotels that have beaches with a gentle, shallow entrance to the sea, mostly hotels in Hurghada. During low tides, almost all living creatures remain on the shore. What can you not see there!

Wearing special shoes, you can walk along the shore and examine all these crabs and mollusks very carefully. It gives unimaginable pleasure to children, they are simply delighted!

Those who come to Egypt know what they want to find here - the sun, the sea, the sea and again the sea. Here, in principle, there is nothing else, we will not talk about the pyramids now, this is a separate issue. Life exists only on the territory of the hotel. Therefore, when choosing a ticket, you should not grab for very cheap tours, you need to find a balance between price and quality.

For me personally, when choosing a hotel, 2 aspects matter:

Firstly, a beautiful, well-groomed area with many flowers, trees, green lawns, where it’s great to do exercises in the morning, bask with a book in your hands during the day, and in the evening after a hearty dinner, walk along the alley.

And secondly, quality food. Notice, not "diverse", namely quality. Let the menu have 3-5 varieties of dishes, but the lunch will be fresh and tasty. Food should be enjoyed, not stuffed, because "all inclusive".

I don’t care about changing linen every day (I don’t change it at home every day either), the presence of a bathrobe and slippers (barefoot and naked is even more pleasant). Many tourists complain that they are not "bowed down". I will be banal - smile! A smile and a polite voice work wonders!

Summing up, once again I want to note that an inexpensive and cheap tour is not always the same thing.

Happy travels!
