Bel Air has always been our favorite hotel in Hurghada. We have stayed there more than 10 times. What happened to the hotel, we do not understand. . . Disappointment came on the first day of rest, when we decided to go to the sea. Half of the entire long beach was without sunbeds and simply did not function. All sun loungers were moved to the working half of the beach. It turned out to be a dump of sunbeds. Naturally, there was not enough space for everyone, a fence from the wind, too. I had to stay under the scorching sun in a draft and in cramped quarters. The pool had the same picture. At 7-30 in the morning all the sunbeds were already "occupied" - covered with towels, occupied with bags, etc. There were 5 people in total. The so-called. reservation of seats, which has never happened before. I had to sunbathe at the pool of the hotel "Arabia" in places very far from comfort. The food has deteriorated drastically. There are a lot of dishes, but they are all tasteless and stupid: pasta salads with dill, boiled cabbage with carrots, half-cooked potato salad with onions; dry rice without oil and without sauce, salted and undercooked pangasius - that's disgusting. Sometimes there was delicious meat goulash for lunch and dinner. Birthday on one of the days of our holiday was completely ruined. We came an hour after the start of dinner, at 20.00, (the time and table were reserved for us by the manager) and we were met. . . half-empty containers with the remnants of dishes. After sitting for 20 minutes and having a bite of cabbage salad with rancid mayonnaise, hungry and angry went to the room. These are all pros and cons. From the pros: everything in the hotel is very clean and tidy, polite staff, good cleaning, clean warm pool, greenery and flowers. Luxurious beach, beautiful reef. Drinks (coffee and tea) are available anywhere, in the restaurant and bars there are coffee machines, ice cream machines. Breakfasts in the restaurant, unlike lunches and dinners, are more decent. Drinks in the room (mini-bar) are free of charge: two of 1.5 liters of water each, 1 liter of cola and 1 liter of sprite, as well as tea in bags, coffee, sugar, a kettle and a set of dishes. I really hope that we are just unlucky and everything will change for the better. Time will tell.
