Arriving in Hurghada, you will have to drive to the hotel for about three more hours. This area has gorgeous living reefs, turtles and dugongs live there, it is adored by divers and kiters. Lena, I completely agree with you. Last year I was in Port Ghalib, our hotel was the very first at the landing and we were the last to be picked up, so only we drove for more than three hours without stopping. It was a tiring journey, of course. We had a flight back at 17.00, we were picked up at 12.00, and people from Fantasia (as I understand it was farthest from all the hotels) at 10.00. And we arrived in Hurghada, when the check-in for our flight was completed, one window was opened especially for us. I would not advise with children, we had practically no children in the hotel. Well, or if really avid divers, then yes, but you can just splash around in Hurghada. IMHO.
