Who is in Marsa Alam now? Are the winds strong? Interested in Royal Braika, is it possible to swim in the bay? Forecasts for the beginning of November - wind from 3-4 m/s. It seems to be a little, but how is the sea? Question: to go not to go?

afraid of the wind - stay at home :)

In Royal Braika rested 2 times, including the second half of October - the beginning of November.
The bay is for that and the bay that you can swim in almost any wind.
But how far you can swim out of the bay to the outer reef depends on the strength of the wind.
In my opinion, the reef in Braiki Bay itself is tired.
Now, according to forecasts for the first days of November, the wind is weak, but everything can change.
The water should be warm, but with a strong northerly wind, getting out of the water and sitting on the beach can be uncomfortable.

How much does a tour cost there on your numbers?
аватар kvitka7m
ser_____Witness77 from Kyiv costs 25200 UAH joint up, on November 7, I want to follow the advice to fly to the growing moon)) and this is from 6.11 Of course more expensive than that year, but now it’s like that everywhere

And why did you choose Royal Braika?
аватар yanina.lyashchuk
kvitka7m This September we specially flew to Sharm for the growing moon. Ras Nasrani Bay. We got into the strongest ebb and flow. As a result, there was often muddy water. We swam to Melton, it was quiet and transparent there. and the growing moon!

olga972 chose the Corners Equinox two years ago .. I talked a lot here with tourists and decided - we go there, the reef is living creatures and nearby is the Abu Dabab bay for 20 minutes, but suddenly it became in the stop) alas .. this year again we thought there .. but . .my husband doesn’t like the long distance from the sun to the pontoon, etc. I’m not used to the desert and distances) .. we considered Solymar, but 2 km is also not very far from the bay, and the hotel has only a lagoon and winds from the pontoon, it’s very expensive to Malikia, to Jazz even more so in Koraya Bay ... only for this we consider Royal ... although I see that the reef and living creatures are no better than in Sharm Continental, which we love very much) although of course the Continental is already the same as 5 years ago, the reef is dying, there are fewer fish, except that closer to Hayat the corals are livelier and the living creatures are more interesting, you already need to choose .. but the number of people scares, maybe Russia, the hotel is full .. and we were in November 2020, then 50-80 people, beauty is at a crossroads

yanina.lyashchuk good afternoon, we talked a lot, I learned a lot from you about the Corners Equinox, about Melton, but that’s not fate) this year I read that there is always wind and muddy water on Mars, it’s hard to see, the weather changes ..apparently how you get there ..in Sharm it was also not very cool in the spring and the waves in Montazah, so you don’t want to take risks at such prices ...

I would advise you Shams Alam Beach Resort 4 * in Marsa Alam.
Everything is very compact there and you do not need to walk in the desert.
She herself wanted to visit this hotel in October, but then it was not yet sold in Ukraine.
I was in it in October with a guest visit for the day - I liked it: turtles, stingrays, sometimes they see a dugong and the reef is beautiful.
аватар ser_____Witness77
And I would advise Concord Morin - you can see dolphins there - they sail right into the bay and swim with you for at least an hour ... I will write step-by-step instructions if you go;)

olga972 a good Shams hotel, I heard about it, but it's expensive for us) thanks for participating!!

kvitka7m Recently I saw that they sell inexpensive Siwa Port Ghalib in Mars. It was closed. We were a couple of years ago at the Port Ghalib hotel, these hotels have a common area. We really liked it. If there was wind, we went to the neighboring Palace Port Ghalib. It is quiet there and you can swim far. I don’t know how the hotel is now, everything changes, but then we were very pleased with the hotel and the underwater world.

Just yesterday we arrived from Braika. We arrived there, the weather was great for 2 days, then it became windy. Before leaving for 2 days it became less windy again. The wind does not affect swimming in the bay at all - except that the water will be more muddy and swimming is not so interesting, since the corals are not so colorful. But on October 14-15, just before the departure, the weather was perfect - visibility under water was 30-50 meters, no less.
I wrote a review about the hotel, but it is still being moderated.
There will be questions, I will try to answer.

Sorry, we arrived on October 15, and before departure on October 23-24, the weather was perfect. I'm confused about the dates, I guess I haven't left my vacation yet :)

ser____Witness77 yes, the hotel is good and the sea, thanks for the advice, although the wind is often, they write that it is often the time of the wave and the flag)) but I can’t find tours to it at the beginning of November)
аватар kvitka7m
Kwinto thanks for the comment, I wanted to ask if there are big fish there, besides surgeons, butterflies and other barracudas, groupers, moray eels, eagle rays, parrots, sharks, maybe you saw turtles and dolphins ?? I know that in Mars it’s not predictable in the wind, so I don’t decide to the end)) and if the wind is of course cloudy and you can’t see the fish at all? We’re just going to Egypt to see the reefs and living creatures, so this is the most important thing. The rest is probably like everywhere - food, service, rooms
аватар Kwinto
There are big fish, I'm not an expert on the names, but there were definitely rays, I saw "crocodiles" almost every day. The turtle was in our bay, but we did not see it ourselves. We went on an excursion on turtles, but it’s easier to go to the nearby Aurora Hotel, where it takes about 15 minutes through the desert to the neighboring bay. There are turtles there. If the water is not cloudy, then in general you can not go on an excursion (although we were lucky to see a cow in addition to turtles on the excursion).
The dolphin swam with us all day in Braika, everyone took pictures with him, very friendly. When in the evening the beachgoers came out of the water, so they say, he also drove small fish near the shore.
I was no longer so much captured by large fish as by large flocks of small multi-colored (and not only small ones). This is what distinguishes Marsa Alam from Sharm. As my wife said, in Sharm there is more of an "aquarium", but here everything is grown-up, more natural or something.
As for "not visible at all", it's not. Even in the strongest wind you can still see both corals and fish. Not as bright, but still.

There was a man with us, so he is the 4th time in Braika and says there has never been such a wind as this time. So, with this wind, there were absolutely no waves in the bay and everyone was swimming. And there was never a red flag.
In parallel with us in Hurghada was my work colleague. Today we discussed the weather with him and he also said that they had no wind for the first 2 days and the last 2 days. Exactly the same as we have on Mars. So go boldly. Because if the wind is in Sharm and only a pontoon, then you won’t swim at all (and we got to Nabq once)

"but I can't find tours to it at the beginning of November)" - there are on October 30, there are on November 12,13,14 ...

kvitka7m Already published my review on Braika Bay, which was on moderation, read it, maybe you will get some more useful information :)
аватар kvitka7m
ser____Witness77 Yes, the agent has already sent options ... we don’t get on the 30th, but there are already tours on the 12th and so on ... thanks !! we think!
аватар kvitka7m
Kwinto thanks for the advice and comments! I will continue to read your review and these comments are useful!

Do you want to visit Royal Brayka Beach Resort or are you also considering Brayka Bay? Because at first we were offered Beach, but there the flight was through Hurghada. And then we found an option with Bay, it was a little more expensive, but through Marsa Alam, which became decisive when choosing
аватар kvitka7m
Kwinto Braika is more expensive, so we looked at the Royal) for us, the price matters, but of course a direct flight is much better! Did you fly from Kyiv? We still have flights from Kharkov, but only during the day. So we are lost in the choice)

Kwinto can not find your review) you can link ... there is a review of Igor-Kiev .. is that you? add more please, the bay is 1, 5 km - is it beautiful there too? is it not difficult to find it? I realized that there are no hotels there? can someone tell me where to go along the coast? Did you swim from the sand from the middle of the bay or from the pontoon too? Did you go out to the outer reef? Did the waves allow or when was it calm? I wonder how the outer reef is there)) thanks in advance) and also .. no one drives if you swim from the pontoon at 6 in the morning or coast?

The bay near the Aurora Bay Hotel, to the right of Breaka (if you are facing the sea). You can clearly see it on google map.

1. Yes, Andrey correctly suggested - the neighboring bay is on the right if you stand facing the sea. That is, go through Braika Beach, register with the guard from which room you are and go further along the sea 100% will not miss. The bay cuts very deep into the coast. It also has its own hotel - Aurora, but you do not get into its territory, it is located even deeper. It is best to look at Google maps, everything will be very clear there.
2. In Braika, I swam both from the shore to the corals and from the pontoon. Sometimes you swim there through the bay, you return back along the pontoon. There is also an entrance to the sea on the left near the diving club. From it closer to the coral, if you do not want to swim. There are a lot of options for entering the sea for every taste.
3. I usually came by 6 in the morning, no one was chasing anyone. I also went to the outer reef, but it would not be much different from the inner ones. Yes, and there is no such thing as internal-external
аватар Kwinto
3 (continued). The bay is gradually expanding and where the inner one ends and the outer one begins, you can’t say so directly
By the way, you might not find a review because you were looking for it in Braica Beach, and I left it in Braica Bay.
A lot of people (including myself) were confused at first and didn’t even know how many of these Brieks were there, since they are called differently in different reviews.

By the way, on the last day we got acquainted with those flying to Kharkov, so they said that it turned out to be more convenient for them to fly through Hurghada than through Mars. Even despite the 4 + 4 extra hours on the road. Well, rather 3 + 3 compared to Mars, since from Mars to Braika is about an hour's drive, taking into account check-in to other hotels (Brayka is the last one).
We had a choice either 10 days in Braikou Beach (or Royal Braika Beach Resort 4 *, to be more precise) or 9 days in Braikou Bay. Since there were gorgeous flights to Bay (at 7 am there and at 7 pm back and Marsa Alam airport), we preferred Braika Bay 5 *, although it turned out a little more expensive.
