We stayed at the end of April 2017. We flew to Hurghada airport, if you want to fly to Marsalan airport, you need to choose another operator, and this is much more expensive
Of course, 3.5 hours of flight, and then another 3.5 hours of driving through the desert are exhausting. Thanks to the hotel, upon arrival (it was already one in the morning), we were waiting for a rainbow welcome, a hot dinner, wet towels right next to the bus (little things make the whole picture).
And a HUGE THANK YOU to the Sunrise Royal Makadi hotel and its best manager HOSHIMA, for calling this hotel and saying that we are regular customers of this hotel chain (we were 7 times) and instead of the standard for 3 adults, they gave us a drop dead room of 120 sq. for two bedrooms))) SUNRISE really works with regular customers, a crazy bonus preferential scale has been developed there, go to Egypt only in SunRise and you will not regret it.
Now about this hotel

The food is excellent, there is everything for every taste, and soft white cheese is such a yummy that was scattered instantly (but did not end), delicious pizza, pasta, fish, there was nothing to write about that was not tasty, coffee the machine worked properly, the cappuccino is also good.
The staff is smiling, responsive, tourists are happy, we left one day, already leaving the beach in the evening, on a sunbed tablet. They came to their senses only when they returned to the room, ran to the beach, but there were no people there, no tablet. Going for dinner, we went to the reception and O-LA-LA the beach staff brought our tablet. THANK YOU!
BEACH. A great. Tourists from other hotels tried to get into us (I saw), but the valiant guard politely but adamantly sent them back. To be honest, I even wanted to stand up for people, let them swim, is it a pity? But I'm not the one who sets the rules, so I kept silent) And why do they come to us? Yes, because the entrance is sandy and not deep near the shore for children, but a little further a mask on your head and the whole underwater world under you. My husband is a fan - he saw everything, I also put on a mask under the onslaught of the family and for those few times I managed to see a HUGE MORYENA !! ! well, a bunch of beautiful fish, thanks to the family for making me snorkel.
The animation is ALL on top, funny, humorous, unobtrusive, we didn’t lie still, played all the games, I even lost a game of volleyball in cards once, I did nothing, no one kicked me off the site))
The beach bar has drinks, water, an ice cream machine, a coffee machine and delicious grilled chicken for lunch.
There is a lot more good to say, the main thing is to choose SunRise in any part of Egypt.
P. S. WiFi on the beach is excellent and advice, at the airport buy a Vodafon card, not Orang - everyone complained about it, we had Vodafon - handed out excellent.
