Vacationed in June 2017 with children 5 and 13 years. We went to the beach on foot (very rarely by bus).
The average step is really 7 minutes, but in summer it is very hot - you definitely need hats.
The bar on the beach is: ice cream, snacks, drinks (including alcohol) - all available.
