We just returned from this hotel yesterday. They chose it a long time ago, about five years ago, when they rested side by side, in Tiran Island. Then we decided that someday we would return to this beach, but to another hotel. And just then the price was good, and we flew to Melton without hesitation for a long time.
At the reception, they immediately offered a room with a sea view (of course, for a small fee). But in fact there are all rooms with a sea view. We arrived at 8 am, we were settled in 15 minutes later. The view is really beautiful: the sea was right under the windows and the sound of the surf was heard all the time. Our building was closest to the sea.
We immediately went to breakfast. Everything is standard: cucumbers, iceberg lettuce, cabbage, sausage, cheese, lots and lots of rolls and jam. No frills. The exact same food was in the four near Tiran Island 5 years ago.

After breakfast we went to the sea. Pontoon 30 meters, very short. And there - a fabulous reef, a lot of fish. The beauty is fantastic. The location of the hotel is the best on the whole coast. Excursions from all over Sharm bring to this reef.
Dives are conducted by an experienced and very charming diver Barbarossa. He explained and showed everything, told in detail about the fish. Very nice instructor, fluent in Russian and English.
We took an excursion to the Colored Canyon (an excellent excursion and the guide Mukhamed we really liked) and Mount Moses (this excursion is for people with sufficient physical fitness)
Lunch and dinner are slightly different from breakfast in their variety. But still, it doesn't make it to five. But these are the little things in life. Hunger will not be felt, as well as culinary delights.
The furniture in the rooms is battered, but everything functions and works: shower, hairdryer, refrigerator, TV. Cleaning is done every day. Well cleaned even without the coveted dollar. Gratitude was left only a couple of times, but even without this, the cleaners washed the floors, changed linen and towels every day, twirled swans, left shampoo and gel without reminders.
By the afternoon of the first day, it turned out that 85% of the hotel guests were Arabs. They are completely different from us, mentality, lifestyle, behavior. For some Europeans, this neighborhood was very annoying. There were not many of us at first either, but then they began to communicate with their youth, play water polo, dive together, swim - normal people, there were no conflicts. But still, this point should be taken into account when choosing a hotel and immediately assess the strength of your tolerance. I felt uncomfortable when I was on the beach in a bathing suit, and people were looking at me and wondering. And you can easily understand them: in their country, walking like this in swimsuits even on the beach is a very big savagery.
All hotel staff are Arabs, I want to note that they are very nice people. They smile, say something pleasant and joke, but at the same time they are not intrusive at all.

Animators - a combined team of girls from Ukraine, England and Egypt. Each time they came up with different contests and undertakings. Mostly our fellow countrymen have fun. But the locals also enjoyed playing bocha and water polo. The chief animator is Masha, such an entertainer and a very nice girl. In the evening she held interesting competitions, in which she drew almost all the guests. I want to note that everything is also unobtrusive.
In conclusion, I would like to summarize:
1. The hotel is beautiful, albeit old.
2. The food is okay, though not gourmet.
3. The beach is fabulous.
4. Animation is unobtrusive.
5. Hotel guests are mostly Arabs. At 85%. There is a crisis in Egypt now, so not many hotels can afford to focus exclusively on Europeans.
6. Excursions on the beach near Yarik are 30% cheaper than with a hotel guide. And you can bargain with him as well as with the locals.
Our holiday was 100% successful. Probably the best time out of all 4 of our visits to Egypt.
