My husband and I rested for the second time in this hotel, the first time we were in it in 2012, then there were mostly Germans and Italians in this hotel, there were almost no Russians and Ukrainians, it was our first vacation in Egypt and we fell in love with Egypt only thanks to this hotel! ! ! I will tell those who think that having paid 750 USD for a week or 1100 USD for 10 days they are not waiting for luxury rooms and for dinner oysters, lobsters, crabs and other delicacies are not served, but you need to understand that in this hotel and in those in the best years there was nothing like that, everything that was before and now, but the prices for this hotel were different, although it was 4k, and then it cost 1780 USD for two and my husband and I flew for 10 nights from Kyiv, i. e. to. from Odessa it was all 2100 USD and everything remained at the same level, although the contingent of the hotel is noticeably different from what we remember now, it is 70% Ukrainians and Belarusians 10 foreigners are Europeans, mostly athletes, and the rest are Arabs, and they do not bother at all they are distinguished against the general background only by Arabic speech and clothes are not the same as ours...
whether the savings affected our vacation, but the price fell by 2 times, I can’t judge, but as I remember, at themed dinners, for example, when we went in 2012 it was the Chinese New Year, we were served unusual festive dishes in our restaurant and on the open area in front of the restaurant the girl danced belly dances and there were Egyptian dances with skirts, we didn’t even have to go to SOHO because right here between the tables there was a performance show and there was a very interesting entertainment program on Soho Chinese circus! What pleases is the quality of the food and the variety is quite compensated 2 other restaurants and another feature of the hotel is an English pub where you can drink good beer with chips and nuts, I note that I am not a drinker at all, but I drank 100 grams of Heineken beer with great pleasure, especially after a sunny day....
Evenings on SOHO became more boring, there is absolutely no variety on the third evening, a duet called Piano Piano was boring to listen to, and before the night show, oriental dances at 00.15 we did not sit out there was another dance group, he alternated his performance with Piano Piano, I’ll say right away that the team is good and the guys tried , but again, for the second or third time, looking at about the same thing was also not interesting, the owners of the Savoy-Sierra network saved a lot on this.

Were at dinner 2 times in Chino, a restaurant of Lebanese cuisine (I liked oriental sweets and shalyks! ) And 3 times in Akuna we went there because of seafood and fitir there is magnificent, it’s such an oriental cake with custard and sprinkled with raisins, I also really liked it, Restaurant Fusion like tlolko launched Akuna closed for us it was possible to dine there for money with a 35% discount, Akuna was opened on 28.01. the queues were 2 days, but then the people got fed up and everything became as before, but again, 5 years ago, every evening in Akun there was live music, the girls sang a duet, now this is not. As for dinners in the hotel restaurant, they grilled various meats several times, as well as kebab, quail and fish, but besides this, veal stew is very tender grilled chicken and just fried in breadcrumbs, beef liver and a bunch of all sorts of things for snacks and various side dishes I liked most of all baked potatoes in foil, several types of stewed vegetables, grilled vegetables and rice, so these are several types of exactly different preparations, in general, it makes no sense to list food enough so that savings on food are not reflected.
By the way, we lived in the same 6th building of which everyone is so afraid, and we ourselves were initially determined to change if in reality everything would be so terrible, but when we were given the keys to the same room in which we stayed for the first time, we were very touched and surprised since apparently our data was saved in the database, they decided to surprise us and it really turned out for minor flaws in the room, not new furniture, but this same furniture as 5 years ago did not disappoint us !! ! it is clear that the rooms need to replace the carpentry but not the apartment we buy it, but only 10 nights and it didn’t bother us at all in the shower room, apparently due to dampness, mold formed or something like a plaque under the stand for washcloths and soap accessories the next day we get a call from a gastronomy girl to find out how well everyone told her about it and after 5 minutes a janitor rushed in with bulging eyes and asked what was wrong? I showed him as a woman that I didn’t like it. They came in an hour, everything was washed as best I could, I cleaned everything, and although before and after that, he cleaned perfectly!
A small minus - they don’t spin swans in this hotel, but we somehow reconciled with this... although it’s so unusual and nice to come to the room to see some kind of figure made of towels... only once he made us a heart out of towels and 2 once sprinkled petals on the bed.
I don’t want to repeat myself, but still I don’t advise this hotel to people who rested in the Rixos or Barons, although such people won’t go here, but you never know, I just don’t want someone to say later that everyone praises this hotel and it’s not like that... it’s all about the thicker the wallet, the more opportunities... and for ladies who want to show off their evening dresses... although there used to be a dress code and men were not allowed for dinner in shorts and all drinks were brought by waiters, now this is a rarity because the waiters have become significantly less than before.

What else is noticeable difference in the SPA, we came to us, they gave us towels and disposable slippers, and you didn’t have to take soap accessories with you, now bring everything of your own.... I said no, I need relaxation, she understood and did everything as I wanted, tried to crunch my vertebrae, I didn’t allow it. I do not trust hotel massages, but the sauna and pool with hydromassage are beyond praise!!!
They also took advantage of free skating, it was my birthday that day, my husband and I came to the empty ice rink there is a very friendly guy who gave out skates, I told him that I came to Sierra for the second time in my life and I want to go skating for the second time, and when I found out that today is my birthday, then I put on skates and began to teach how to stand and skate correctly !! ! thank you so much, I even left the dolphin and drove a little by myself!! ! What else was pleasantly surprised by the attitude of the girls of the gastronomy, everything they asked for was instantly performed, and the animators were just a miracle !! ! thanks to Sasha and Marianne, I went to stretching on the beach and aqua aerobics in Savoy, and at our pool, Lesha tried to cheer everyone up, he always asked if everything was fine with us? a wonderful animator entertained us with dancing!! ! The result was so wonderful, thank you Sierra!! !
