We recently returned from vacation, which this time we decided to spend in Sierra 5 *. Exactly 10 years ago I was already in this hotel, and this year I decided to bring my family (pregnant wife and 3-year-old son) to see what changes have occurred after a rather long period of time. Everything is known in comparison, so I will write my review about the rest in comparison with other 5 * hotels where we managed to visit. I want to note right away that Sierra is still a solid 4 * as it was 10 years ago. Of course, the “+” of this hotel is a beautiful green area + the opportunity to walk around the Savoy territory + a rather lively and beautiful reef, especially in the middle between the Sierra-Savoy pontoons (a huge Napoleon fish lives there). And in all other respects, our family wishes you further development and improvement as for the 5 * level (I repeat, in comparison with other 5 * hotels where we visited). So, in order. Depending on the occupancy of the hotel and our payment, we were settled in building 6: the number of rooms is old, but everything works properly. A big surprise for me was the usual iron key for the doors (which periodically jammed, did not turn, etc. , which made me a little nervous every time I opened / closed the doors) - to be honest, over the past 8 years, we have been getting electronic keys all the time) . We asked Guest Relantion in advance to provide a quieter room on the ground floor, because both the wife is pregnant and the son of 3 years old, who likes to sleep during the day. Thank you, they provided: a beautiful view from the window, but since the room is the last one at the aisle, then in the period from 15-00 to 17-00 you could feel at the railway station - the staff drove every 15-20 minutes corridor with their own carts, well, very loudly, like the sound of wheels, and at night you could feel like a participant in some kind of action on SOHO SQURE with music and dancing, because the corridor directly goes to this square, and all the echoes poured into our last from passage number. Pools: heated, but given the rather cloudy weather, they were cool (I write in comparison with heated pools in other 5 * hotels), for greater comfort of vacationers, it is better to slightly increase the degree of heating in cool weather. Well, and the apotheosis of everything, FOOD in the main restaurant: assortment, in principle, as in any hotel in Egypt: potatoes, pasta, rice, several types of meat, fish, cucumbers, tomatoes (for some reason, mainly and only for breakfast), for our surprise, there was never green olives, although I personally love them and always look forward to a vacation in a hotel in Egypt to eat them (as tasty as barrel ones))) - unfortunately, I have not seen them here). It was the Main Restaurant that was very disappointing: there was a lot of food, but somehow something was not right, it was DELICIOUSLY cooked, the fish was simply not fried inside several times, there was a beautiful golden crust on the outside, but inside.... which I didn't want to eat. . . There is a catastrophic lack of attendants: for the first time in a 5 * hotel, we encountered the fact that drinks are poured at best into paper glasses, at worst, into ordinary small plastic glasses, there are also not enough spoons, both small and large, and you have to wait until somewhere they will be found or washed, but there are 3-4 sets of forks and knives. Dirty dishes are not cleaned during meals. Ketchup in the morning you have to ask constantly. Sierra 5 * buy, for greater comfort of vacationers, more glass glasses, large and small spoons, ketchup during breakfast can also be laid out somewhere on a separate dish so as not to beg from the staff! In general, we were very dissatisfied with the meal at the Main Restaurant. We were pleased with Fusion 21 and Cafe Chino: delicious, all the appliances are there, drinks in glass glasses, the service is super!! ! Respect and praise to the administrators and other employees of these institutions. Of course, despite all the shortcomings that appeared from time to time, we were satisfied with the rest in Sharm. Our family would like to express gratitude to those employees who really do their job very well and it shows, you are great: professionals in their field - the girls of Guest Relantion: Marina, Masha, Alina, our housekeeper Mansy, Bartenders who are on bars, and then also in the main restaurant: Moez, Mina (Mina - one on the Lobby, Mina - the other on the beach), the animators are also great, but there are few of them, so they try for at least 3 more people who they didn’t remember, sorry: Sveta, Tima, Anya, children's animators: Aisha and Nastya.
