It just so happened that my husband and I did not immediately get a honeymoon. And with a delay of one year, they combined it with a wedding anniversary. We chose the hotel very seriously, as we had read reviews about poor service and unsanitary conditions in Egypt. Before that, they preferred a beach holiday in Europe (Spain, Croatia, Montenegro). Now I will report on my vacation in Sharm El Sheikh.
We arrived on time, settled us in the main building in a room overlooking the sea on the fifth floor. The view from the window is the most luxurious, to get this in Europe, you have to pay crazy money. The room fully corresponds to 5 stars. The furniture is stylish, the decor is tastefully chosen. Everything in the bathroom is immaculately clean. Only there is no brush for some reason. Cleaning is excellent, the housekeeper tries to get out unnoticed. For the first couple of days they didn’t have any small money, so they didn’t leave a tip, it didn’t affect the quality of cleaning in any way.
The territory of the hotel is very beautiful and well-groomed. There is less greenery than in Europe, this is understandable. But the plantings look very dignified. The pools are very clean, no smell of chlorine. The beach is divided into 2 parts: with a bar and music and a quiet part. Both there and there, the beach boy will bring you towels and spread them on the sun loungers of your choice. It is pleasantly pleasing. For the first time we took the system all inclusive. This hotel is worth the money. In bars, alcohol (wine and beer) is of good quality, we don’t drink strong, juices from bags, cocktails are delicious. Everything is served in a very civilized and polite manner. Even without a tip. That's why you want to leave a tip. Each part of the beach has its own pontoon. The entrance to the sea is only from the pontoon, so we do not recommend it for those who cannot swim and small children. Of course, the Red Sea struck even more than the hotel: the clearest water, a living coral reef, a lot of fish. This has not been seen anywhere before. Given the heat and the beauty of the underwater world, I did not want to get out of the water. With regret, we left the sea at 11:00, because due to fair skin we were afraid to get badly burned. We returned around 4:00 pm. Slept thoroughly.

The food in the hotel is good, but not for us. I frankly lacked more juicy meat, and in Egypt, as I understand it, it is customary to overcook, and not undercook. Decent selection for breakfast lunch and dinner. The reason for dissatisfaction lies in our taste preferences, and not in the skill of the chef. Many hotel guests were 100% satisfied with the food. Breakfasts were usual for hotels on the sea: omelettes, muesli, cereals, several kinds of yoghurts, fruits and delicious pastries. In general, pastries were beyond praise, although we are not sweet. For lunch, I especially liked soups, as I already wrote, chicken, there was also surprisingly tasty lamb. There are many side dishes, I didn’t like everything, I’ll note the local moussaka (eggplant dish). Dinners for us were a different variation of lunches.
Once we got into the city in Naama Bay, I didn’t like it. Frantic merchants are everywhere, shouting, calling, whistling and saying obscene words. I honestly don't understand why tourists go there. We didn't leave the hotel anymore. To go on excursions, contact the tour company via the Internet from the lobby. Before leaving, we accidentally stumbled upon their website and asked for advice in choosing a hotel from several. They came to the rescue, and therefore already at the hotel they booked an excursion to Petra. Until now, I am delighted with the ancient city and the most interesting story of the Jordanian guide. You're lucky if you find a guide who speaks fluent Russian and loves his country very much. After that, we went on a Super safari (St. Catherine's Monastery and Tsvetnoy Canyon), which also left pleasant memories.
The first time in Egypt will not be the last. If we return to Sharm El Sheikh, then only in Stella Di Mare.
