I chose a hotel near the sea and in the Old Town. I want to share my impressions about the hotel.
Settlement. I arrived at 2:00 pm, we were immediately given bracelets and told to go eat, as dinner would soon be over. Tipping no one extorted or hinted at. The dollar that I gave with my passport at check-in was not taken at first.
Rooms and area. The number of rooms is quite old, but the interior looks cozy. The room is spacious, there are enough bedside tables for things. Balcony with table and chairs, I got a sea view. There is a safe, a spacious refrigerator that freezes well and keeps cold for a long time. There were enough outlets in the room. There are no complaints about lighting, 4 lamps in the room, 2 of them on the sides of the bed. I did not need air conditioning, I immediately turned it off and more for the whole stay and did not turn it on. But I know it worked well. The TV is small, I didn’t turn it on either, I don’t know about TV.

Internet, it was written $ 5 per week for one device. Didn't pay. I have no idea if there is wi-fi at the reception, I bought a SIM card on the day of arrival.
The main complaints about the room: a weak pressure of hot water in the shower, the door to the toilet did not close and the balcony door did not close. But overall, I had a comfortable stay.
The area is well maintained and beautiful. Everything is in the same style. There are sofas to just sit outside, sun loungers by the pool, even a Bedouin-style tent.
Service. Here they wrote about poor service and not a human attitude. But I didn't notice anything. All staff were polite to visitors. Nobody asked for a tip. The cook prepared omelets, served meat at lunchtime and in the evening. You could have asked for more without any problem. The same is true in the bar. People came up and ordered several drinks.
What I liked about the service is that the tables were quickly cleaned and served. You leave dirty dishes, they take them away within a minute or two. You leave the table, it is quickly removed and served for new guests.
Animators work on the beach, entertaining tourists. They invite you to morning exercises, yoga, water aerobics. Many vacationers take part in this. I see it's not boring. In the evening, on the street during dinner, there is also some kind of show with a DJ. People praised it, but I didn't see it myself.
Restaurant. I liked the food. But there are a couple of caveats. The choice of dishes will not be very wide. But the food is delicious. My breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, falafel and salad. From appetizers feta, hard cheese and sausage. Sweet biscuits abound. There are more dishes, but there is Arabic cuisine, a local snack with kvasoli (fol), etc.
Instant diluted coffee, tea in a teapot with several brewed bags, there is milk. Cups are ceramic.
Dinner and supper. There is more choice here. Soup of one kind, the next meal of another. Delicious. Several garnishes. There is always rice, pasta and potatoes. If fries, then give out portions.

Meat. Fish almost every day. Fried fish fillet (like sea bass) without bones. Real jam. Also fried chicken or beef. Sometimes beef liver. On some days, they take the brazier outside and cook chicken shish kebab. Good selection of salads and vegetables. Desserts are mostly biscuit with different creams. There are few fruits, mostly oranges and melons. There was also guava or dates instead of melon.
Again, I liked the food, it's delicious. It may get boring for a long rest, but there is still a choice, albeit a small one. I bought fruits at the Old Market, I did not feel a shortage of them. I liked the food at the hotel so much that I did not visit the cafe in Sharm. And I didn’t go to fish restaurants, because I ate fish at the hotel almost every day.
As for alcohol. There is a bar at the restaurant and on the beach. He drank alcohol rarely, took cola with whiskey. Norm. In its pure form, I do not recommend drinking, as elsewhere in Egypt. They say bodyaga, although I saw that some of them threw themselves on their alcohol.
By the way, I’ll explain to the vacationers. Most of them are normal, more older than younger. Families with children, pensioners. There were those who constantly hung out at the bar, but no one was rowdy and did not interfere with someone else's rest.
Location and beach. Took a hotel on the first line. Everything is not so clear here. There are no complaints about the beach. It is not crowded, there are enough sunbeds. Give out towels, there are animators, massage. There is a free bar and a paid bar where you can buy coffee or fresh juice. The beach is located across the road from the hotel, at the crossing a person helps to cross the road, stopping the car with a rod. Special attention to families with children.
But as for the place for swimming. . . The sunset is sandy, which is suitable for children and pensioners. You can swim without coral. But there are no corals. The place for swimming is not very large and is limited by the pier on the right, where there are a bunch of boats and a pontoon with boats from the hotel. In order to go up to the chest, you need to walk 20-30 meters.

But ten minutes walk from the hotel (to the right) will be a wild beach with beautiful corals. And if you go to the left of the hotel and go around the bay, you can go to the beach of the albatros hotel, where I liked to swim. Going a little further, you can climb a rock, from where a view of the bay and the Old Town opens. So in terms of swimming, the place suited me anyway.
Another plus. Only 5-10 minutes walk to the Old Town. There is a market, and who needs fish restaurants, and cheap fresh juices, etc. I chose the hotel for this reason. Also from the Old City there is Peace Road, along which minibuses go to Naama Bay and beyond.
Summing up, I will say that I liked the Turquoise Beach hotel. Location, food, service and rooms arranged. And my memories are mostly warm. But I warn you, some people will need more comfort and variety in food, they need to look elsewhere. If all of the above suits you, then I can recommend.
