Searching for a budget winter holiday with a gorgeous reef
Looking for a budget (this is important) winter holiday with a gorgeous reef. Preferences - windless, short pontoon, the sea within walking distance (on foot a maximum of 10 minutes). Service and stardom are not important
Were on the beaches of Reef Beach and Palm Beach (Ras Um El Sid), Tower Bay. The reef is not interested in a wall with an abyss, but with options.

Look at the Renaissance Golden Beach hotel option. A good and not very expensive five, a beautiful beach and entry into the sea, there are also many fish and a beautiful coral reef.

Veter. Change, thank you! But - the hotel is far from budget. I specifically looked in comparison with those hotels where I had been before - the difference was 350 dollars. For this money, I can rest for an extra week.
And in the reviews, the phrase "You go into the sea at 7 meters and they already whistle you that you don't need to go further" is alarming.
We need a hotel without restrictions, whistlers and flags.

Then take a look at Sultan Gardens. It is located in the bay, the location of the hotel is on the first line. It certainly will not bite the price.

You and I seem to have different ideas about budget travel. It is more expensive than the above-proposed renaissance by $150.
Yes, and by sea in the first review - Beach. Good, the reef is really poor, and then on three pages there is no word at all about reefs. Apparently, this is not the strong point of the hotel.

sharm plaza will suit you, there was no wind at all in December, the hotel is on the shore, the pontoon is short, no one whistles

It is difficult to find an inexpensive hotel with the sea in 10 minutes. walk. See the Hadaba area then. The hotels there are not very expensive, and the reefs are not bad. BUT most of them take hotel buses to the sea.

Why exactly Hadaba, since it’s windy in the Nabq area in winter, you don’t buy much. In Naama, the sea and reefs are, to put it mildly, very poor. And Sharks Bay is far from a budget area.

nabq area - continuous winds, strong currents and endless pontoons, but amazing reefs. Of course, everything is subjective. budget hotels in dahab area. but there is also a wind, it is not squally, but just a summer wind. in summer and autumn - this is good. It’s hard in calm. and the endless sea. It's all about tropitel dahab oasis. we walked into the blue hole. three hundred meters away is a place for training divers. swam constantly, there is a sandy bottom, snow-white - in the color of sand - fish, young growth of corals. a fairy tale. from there they sailed to their pontoon. it is short and very comfortable. food and service in the department is quite satisfied. fruits - melons, guava, dates and citruses, food - grilled, steamed, etc. two kinds of soup. and most importantly - the absence of Tagil and mostly Italians and Germans. There were also Ukrainians. but, unfortunately, I'm talking about 2015. we managed to go to Egypt in October - before the start of sanctions. Now, judging by the reviews, little has changed there. Mostly divers rest, so no one is visible during the day - everyone is leaving

thank you sweetie! Were in Dahab. and in the hole. there is more for diving and in winter you can’t buy without wetsuits, the open stormy sea. The reef is beautiful, but the fish are not impressed. Or are we just that lucky? One small thing, though teeming with swarms. Didn't see anything big. In Nabq in winter, it's stupid to meddle too. And Sharks Bay - is there any good coral there? Like sandy beaches like in Hurghada?
Maybe there is something to see on El Fanar?

I then only realized that we are talking about winter. but I haven’t been to other places, since I don’t go on vacation in winter. but the only thing I can suggest is to break through the information on the Internet through a search engine. the search will, of course, be longer in time, but you will also be able to get a lot of information. good luck!.

Sharks Bay is one of the best coral bays
аватар inna4ka
Tatyanaka, you are right, I must have confused it with Sharm El Maya

Gardens Bay, I think you'll like it. The reef garden is very beautiful. From the budget - Sharm Plaza.
