I want to share my impressions about the hotel. Rested in the Caribbean World Resorts from 18.04 to 30.04 seven of us - grandfather, grandmother, father, mother and three children.
We arrived at the hotel in the morning at about 9 o'clock, after paperwork we were sent to have breakfast and then immediately settled in two adjacent rooms in the twelfth building (near the amphitheater).
Well, what can I say, apparently it was once an excellent hotel, but now it’s a mediocre 4+, only the beach and the work of gardeners save it.
So in order.
Rooms. The furniture in the rooms is quite old (see photo). There was a dump near our building (see photo), although the view from the rooms was not on it, but it was not pleasant to see it every day. A road ran along the building, along which hotel transport constantly traveled - motorcycles with a body with constant perforations and hard exhaust. The same vehicles drive on all sidewalks throughout the territory. It was impossible for adults or children to sleep in our building because of the noise of the amphitheater, so after a few days we asked to be moved to another building. There, the situation was already better, but they settled us in smoking rooms. In one room it was so smoky that we demanded to immediately change it, in the second room it was OK, but there was a smell of some kind of rot, you know, when you forget to get wet clothes out of the washing machine and it lies there, like this.
Only if in the first room we had a double bed (one and a half) and two single beds, then in the new one we had only two single beds for five. Then, at the request, they brought one cot.
The new room already has a tea set and, in addition, ants are ubiquitous (see photo). The door lock was very difficult to open and close, but we somehow got the hang of it, but the cleaner apparently didn’t, and several times coming from the beach we found our room with the door open to swing open. In the end staged a showdown about it.
On the day of departure, we made an additional payment for one room of $53 to extend it from 12 to 17.
We felt the problem described in other reviews, that there is no hose in the shower and it is quite difficult to wash the children.
Nutrition. You will not go hungry, but everything is quite monotonous. I have never eaten so many potatoes. Potatoes fried, steamed, boiled, stewed. "Juices" is a adjustable yuppies, from which children were immediately sprinkled, and from the third day they bought only packaged juices for children in the store. By the way, the Italian restaurant has the same crap, there are no ordinary juices, only this is a “miracle”. They did not eat any unusual and unusual food, but everyone, young and old, ran daily on impetuous visits to a white friend. The dishes are dirty and a lot of chipped / broken, sometimes you sit down at the table and choose on which spoon there is no food leftovers that have not been washed. I was surprised by the abundance of disposable tableware, for a five-star hotel this is too much - in the morning tea in paper cups, draft drinks (colla, sprite... ) in the main restaurant in plastic dishes. It’s very cold in the restaurant, and if it’s still tolerable at lunchtime, then until the evening it’s so cool that it’s difficult to stay there, I caught a cold at the very beginning. Dined on the outdoor terrace.
Beach. It's really good and great for kids. There were always enough sunbeds on the beach. Umbrellas are mostly new, but some are still very old (see photo). On the beach they sell delicious mango and strawberry juices for $3. Watermelon and guava not so good.
Weather: in general, it was good, only for four days there was a terrible wind, you can watch the video (). For breakfast we went in jeans and sweaters, in the evening we put on two sweaters, these days it was quite cold. One of the windy days there was some kind of sandstorm, everything was overcast, eyes full of sand. We left the balcony door open, so the whole room was strewn with very fine sand up to the very last shelf. The sea all the days was 23 degrees. Apparently, because of the windy weather, they stopped poisoning insects and flies, it was simply unmeasured, in the restaurant, in the rooms, on the beach it was generally impossible to lie down, only to move. Already on the last day they saw that they began to poison them.
Internet. Only at the reception and sooooo weak, the photo in viber is loaded for several minutes.
Before the trip, I filled out a questionnaire to participate in the bonus program, received a certificate by mail and gave it when I settled. They put a bracelet on me, not like all Slavs, but like Europeans, and they put a plate of fruit in the room, no more advantages.
The territory of the hotel is very beautiful, well-groomed, gardeners work constantly.
The territory with new buildings was closed to the public, no one was settled there.
The hotel was no more than half full, only on weekends, when the locals came, there was a strong revival.
I went down a hill with a child once, skinned both elbows to blood, hit one. My elbow was hurting, hurting, only at home I found out that inflammation of the sub-elbow bag (bursitis) had begun. They cut the hand. So be careful on the hills.
The animation team is trying, trying to take everyone to the activity. Good girl in the kids club. The evening program is carried out by the animators themselves. Were in two weeks once at the fakir show and came to the comedy show, but after five minutes they left it.
