Advice from seasoned travelers
Friends, tell me the best route for leisurely sightseeing in August (beach during the day, walks in the evening, we live in Castadelfes (near Barcelona). If there is an interesting town near Barcelona that is also worth visiting, please advise. I look forward to links to your published stories as well as tips Thank you in advance!

I never tire of recommending a tourist bus for exploring Barcelona. He will take you to all the main sights, the guide in headphones will tell you everything.

The offer with the bus is really worthwhile, you will have an idea about the city and the distances. My most vivid impressions of Barcelona are Sagradia Familia and the evening show of singing fountains and bullfighting (but it has already been closed).

Be sure to take a walk in the Gothic quarter (it is located near the Rambla), there is also an excellent aquarium in Barca, near the Columbus monument, and the creations of Gaudi (Casa Mila and Batllo, Park Guell). Near Barcelona there is the resort town of Tossa de Mar, where there are not only very beautiful beaches, but there is also an ancient fortress with beautiful views.

I agree with Yasemin about Bus turistic. In addition to tickets, you will be given a booklet with discounts. It is better to take a ticket for two days at once, since all three lines are open in August, and you won’t be able to see them in one day. The singing fountain show is open in the evenings and not every day. Check online before you go. Mount Tibidabo is also better to go in the morning. We went after 16.00, and it was already closed there. If you go to La Pedrera and Casa Battlo, then you can definitely spend half a day there, but it's worth it. There are huge queues at the Sagrada, especially on weekends. So count the time. And Bus Turistic also has super-excursions around Barcelona. We especially liked visiting wineries (by the way, the prices for wine and cava in shops at wineries are very reasonable), the information was very interesting, and Montserrat. Although you don’t have to take an excursion to Montserrat, read it on the Internet, and it’s worth allocating one day, such a miracle! If we go again, we will definitely go there as savages. Have a nice holiday!

We visited Barcelona with an organized tour. There were no queues anywhere. while visited the creation of Gaudi, Park Güell, Olympic Embankment, Aquarium, overview of the city, evening show singing fountain. The program was intense and there was no need to think about transport. And I support the suggestion about Tossa. You can get there by sea on a boat. And immediately on the embankment you will see a fortress. The visit is free. And you can walk all day long! Very beautiful views and old buildings. Sweet town. The resort Lloret de Mar will appear the same way. Each town is interesting for tourism. And then there are the fortress cities of Rupit and Besalu!!! There, just in August, there is a costume show with knights and battles. You too can dress up in a costume and take part in the show! There are such views! I want your plans to come true.

It is interesting to visit Barcelona itself, but the tourist bus did not impress us - it can only be used as a means of transportation, but no more. Information is zero, all the time some kind of indistinct voice is buzzing, eternal breakdowns of headphones !!! I had to take an individual guide (I liked it very much, we can advise!)
You can also go to Sitges, near Castelldefels, an interesting town. It is easy to get there by train or bus.
It is best to walk around Barcelona and enjoy the atmosphere and it is very interesting to watch the locals, visitors - in general, the life of this city!
