We rested with my family, two adults and two children 10 and two 12 years old from July 13 to 27.2013 in Spain, Costa Dorada, Salou. Hotel Best Los Angeles ***. Coral Travel operator. Price for 14 nights 152000 rub.
1. Transfer - OK! Met, brought, while driving all told and what can be shown. True, he threw his suitcases onto the bus himself.
2. The bus does not drive up to the hotel, so you have to carry your suitcases all the way to your room. There are no porters at all. Haven't seen this anywhere. We had to wait 3 hours upon arrival for the room to be ready. The suitcases were put in a storage room and we had to sit in the lobby. Read the next paragraph.
3. There are no air conditioners in the hotel lobby and at the reception desk, you can't sit for a long time, it's very stuffy. Well, very much. Subsequently, the air conditioners at the reception were repaired, but it took almost two weeks. So the sediment remains.

4. There is always a Russian-speaking employee at the reception who is ready to help. For example, since there were four of us in the room, and there were only two beds, the children slept on the same bed. In general, another sheet was needed. Brought in 5 minutes two pieces without problems. And yet, without looking at the storage conditions, I bought foie gras. And there is no fridge in the room. Asked at the reception to keep in the refrigerator until departure. OK!
5. Miserliness and economy, turning into undisguised greed, are very well felt. This applies to Spain in general and to the hotel in particular. They try to make money on everything. For example, the promised hair dryer is not in the room. To take it you need to go to the reception, leave a deposit of 20 euros. Or another - upon arrival at the hotel, you are not put on any bracelet, but they are given a piece of paper indicating your type of food. And at the entrance to the restaurant there is a dude checking whether you can be fed or not. Forgot a piece of paper - go to the room. And here is another example: we got from PortAventura before closing (about 12 am) to the hotel by BusPlana bus. Op-s. Surprise. Pre-purchased tickets for 1.14 euros are not valid, buy for 2 euros. Everything is correct. Most visitors leave late.
6. The room has two double beds, a wardrobe, a bedside table, a small table with a drawer on which there is a 14-inch TV (2 or 3 channels in Russian), and some other incomprehensible wooden shelf, one socket - do not forget to take a tee. On the balcony there is a plastic table and three chairs. No dryer, no ropes, no hooks. If you want to dry things, you can hang them on the balcony railing. Mirror and two abstract paintings. But the main miracle is the air conditioner. Firstly, it hangs directly above the bed, above the head, and secondly, it has no adjustments - none! If you want to change the temperature, please turn it off, and then turn it on again, and so on ad infinitum. Semi-automatic It would be possible to sleep with the window open, but drunk people walk along the street all night until morning. Constantly yelling. What I sleep soundly on, and even then I constantly wake up. There is no soundproofing in the hotel, you can hear perfectly well what is happening behind the wall and in the corridor. To use the TV, you need to go to the reception, leave a deposit of 10 euros and then you will become the happy owner of the remote control. The same, one to one, and with the key to the safe. There is a fee for using the safe only. The floors in the room are cold tiles. It didn’t really bother me, but I think carpet would be preferable. The refrigerator is missing as a class. Once a child fell off the bed with his head on the floor at night. I'm talking about carpet.
7. Bathroom combined. Toilet, washbasin, bathtub, mirror. There are two towels for each family member, soap, shampoo, shower gel, comb, high-quality toilet paper and a lot are constantly reported. The bathroom door lock was broken. Well, nothing, we are a family, we can do it. Since there were four of us, the problem constantly arose, where to hang a towel and washcloths. I wish there were more hooks on the walls. In general, to be honest, the room is small for four people. Back in USSR. Although wet quality cleaning, beds made every day. If the towel is on the floor, they will hang a new one. Yesterday, in a conspicuous place, the wife left the cleaning lady 1 euro - she did not take it. Let's try today.

8. Location of the hotel in 5 min. walk from the sea. In principle, the building is located end to the south, so that there is no scorching sun in the windows. At least for us the sun appeared only at 5 pm. On the territory there are two swimming pools, a children's pool and a pool with a jacuzzi. Pretty clean. Whenever you come, there are always free sunbeds. The hotel has bike rentals, slot machines in the lobby. No tennis tables, no gym, let alone tennis courts, I did not notice. The main drawback of the hotel's location is people screaming until morning under the window. But I think that here (in Salou) it is common everywhere.
9. Catering for 5. Somewhat unusual champagne in the morning. Good. Well, at dinner, all drinks are paid. If you don't want to pay - eat dry food or buy a bottle of water for 1.8 euros. Once again, Spain is not a country where you can save money.
10. Animation at 3.5. During the day, Mr. Sebastian, who is from the Dominican Republic, tries (or maybe not really tries) to entertain the people. What can one person do in a big hotel? And in the evening, the same Sebastian will play a little with the kids. And at 22.00 invited artists sing or dance.
11. Beach - sand, 5 min. walk from the hotel. In general, there are several beaches, but all of them are crowded with people. The sea is clean, there are no waves, the entry into the water is gradual. Because of the crowding of people, all this strongly resembles Anapa. Deckchair-5 euros, umbrella-7, but you can bring your own. We knew about it, so there was no shock. The beach closes at 7pm. Around 7, the umbrella collector unceremoniously, without saying a word, throws your things on the sun lounger into the sand and puts the sun loungers in a pile.
12. All excursions were bought from a hotel guide. It can be cheaper if you move yourself or buy from another agency.
13. Jeep safari - 5. Beauty of nature, mountains, vineyards. He was driving himself. Everything is well planned. We drive for an hour or two, then stop for a photo or swim or a small excursion or a meal.
14. All Andorra - 4. I liked it - the beauty of nature, licked country, an excellent complex of pools with mineral water. I didn’t like it - the guide didn’t say a word all the way back, too much time is spent on shopping and not at all on museums and attractions.

15. All of Barcelona - 3. Galloping through Europe. We took a picture - we ran further. Everywhere a crowd of tourists - just a May Day demonstration. All this madness was brightened up only by the fact that we did not dine at the recommended restaurant of the guide, but went to the first one that came across in the center of Barca. Everything was great! For four people with a bottle of champagne, beer and dessert left 78 euros.
16. We went to Tarragona ourselves - 5. A beautiful ancient city. There is a Russian-speaking guide at the bus station who hands you a map of the city and explains how and where to get. It would probably be interesting to go there with a tour.
17. PortAventura + CostaCaribia - 4.5. A must visit but we were expecting a little more. There are two lines for all rides in PortAventura. One in which you are standing, and the other of the rich Pinocchio, ready to pay for a passage without a queue. Again Spanish greed. Get ready to wait.
18. We decided to go to Valencia to look at the city, but the main thing is bullfighting. Both the hotel in Valencia and the rental car were ordered from CostaDorada Tours. Valencia is much less crowded than Barcelona. So we felt pretty comfortable.
Corrida - 5.
Valencia - 5.
City of Science in Valencia - 5.
Zoo in Valencia - 5.
One big BUT!! ! In Valencia, a pickpocket tried to steal my wallet from me. A scuffle ensued. As befits a Russian tourist, I was able to evaluate and compare the advantages and disadvantages of the Spanish ambulance, police and trauma department. They are no better than ours. As for pickpockets in Spain, we were warned at home. So learn from my experience - be extremely careful!
19. Departure from Barcelona - 1!! ! The bus brought us to the airport in 2 hours and 40 minutes. before departure. Registration has just opened. About 2 hours stood at the registration, there were some problems with the computer. Then run through the duty-free to the frame. There's a queue. Next, we run to the passport control desks. Time is already 20 minutes. before departure. And the queue at passport control is at least an hour. And we are not the only ones who, through no fault of their own, are late for the plane.
The people begin to panic, as a result of a stampede, women yell, children squeak. The last time I saw this was when people choked on sausage in the late 80s. We were lucky - we got on the plane in 5 minutes. before takeoff.

20. Salou - 4. A huge number of hotels, therefore crowds of people and very noisy both at night and during the day. If all the vacationers embroidered onto the beach at the same time, then the crush would be like in a tram at rush hour. But since someone goes on excursions, and someone hangs out until the morning, there is no crush, although all this very much resembles Anapa at the height of the season.
21. Overall rating - 4. Spain is a beautiful Mediterranean country with a comfortable climate. Very beautiful, clean, somehow licked. Great culture, lots of attractions. The only thing that scares me is the price.
