It's already autumn, it's already raining, the leaves have already turned yellow and are flying around ...and in Mallorca it's summer, summer, summer! So, about the hotel and everything else.

1. Hotel location:
The east coast of Mallorca is Cala Millor, a small village with a rather long beach, about 2 km. The coastal walking area is nothing special, typical of Mallorca. The hotel is located very conveniently, almost in the center of the village, 50 meters from the beach. The hotel is far from new, despite the fact that it is so close to the sea, there are 2 more hotels of an older building in front of it. The building stands perpendicular to the sea, so its central part faces the side street ALOSA and a pedestrian area with many shops. The pier is also not far away, less than a kilometer.

Hotel for those over 60! And we got there by accident. Suddenly there was free time and in 3 weeks it was necessary to organize everything. Organize it yourself - no chance, the flight is expensive or with 2-3 transfers ...
There is only one way out, through TO, almost a burning tour. Even a package of documents was received at the airport at the counter of this MOT.

2. Service:
Since our flight was delayed, and instead of 9-10 pm, we were taken there at 4:00 am. There was a very pleasant concierge Manuel at the reception, it was clear that they were waiting for us, because before he had time to get off the bus and look around, he already came out to meet us, called us by name and took us to the restaurant for dinner and breakfast ... ? The only thing I wanted was to drink and rest.

Despite the fact that there was no time to prepare for the trip, I still read some reviews about the hotel and, as always, wrote an e-mail there before the trip, on which floor and which room I would like. The answer was that, if possible, they would provide a room according to our wishes. So it was.
In general, we didn’t have any problems, we didn’t have to solve anything, but in general the staff is smiling, friendly, friendly, to one degree or another, everyone speaks German. There is even one waitress from Latvia or Lithuania, although with a strong accent, she speaks a little Russian.

3. Numbers:
I am somewhat of a whimsical tourist! If I'm going to rest on the SEA, then the hotel should be directly by the SEA, and the room must have a balcony and a direct view of the SEA. I like to sleep with the door open, inhale the sea air, listen to the rustling of the waves, and in the evenings sit in the fresh air and admire the sea. In the morning, waking up and dangling my legs from the bed, I like to look at the sea, and not at the windows of the rooms of the neighboring hotel, I look at the windows of the neighboring house all year round ....All this is not in our city, so on vacation THIS should be everything be, namely SEA, SEA, SEA!
So, in order to have all this in this hotel, the rooms must be on the 5-6-7 floor and from the end! Otherwise, there will be only a side view. And here is our room on the 5th floor, class, first of all I go out to the balcony and what do I see? A very interesting picture. The door to the balcony is located in the corner on the left and opens from left to right, going out onto the balcony, first of all you see the next one on the left, since the partition is very low, and if you inadvertently turn your head to the left, then the whole neighbor's room is in full view. The English neighbors slept with the door open and appeared to our eyes "in all their splendor. " And why so? And everything is very simple: their door to the balcony is located in the corner on the right and opens from right to left, so that when leaving their room, they can “view” our entire room in the same way with the door open.
I'm not talking about the fact that the balconies of all rooms are perfectly visible: someone has something on the table, someone has something hanging on a rope ...
We came across such a “troika” in the resorts of Spain for the first time, usually the balconies are located in such a way that no one sees you, neither to the right, nor to the left, neither from above, nor from below, but here there is no private sphere, everything is on public display. Of course, I do not spend 24 hours on the balcony, but some comfort would not hurt. I consider this one of the biggest disadvantages of the hotel. The second time I will not go to this hotel, I was not quite comfortable there in this regard.

Earlier I mentioned that the hotel is far from new, so the furniture in the rooms is appropriate, but everything is very clean, neat and tidy. Toiletries are also appropriate, namely some kind of solid soap and shower gel in super small bags. They opened it once, didn’t like the smell, and we didn’t use them anymore and they didn’t replenish them anymore.
Again, other hotels involuntarily come to mind: if somewhere they didn’t use something, but if it’s supposed to be replenished every day, then they bring it every day, and by the end of the vacation, a whole basket is filled with this nonsense. Well, here you can see the policy is different.

AUDIBILITY in the rooms is excellent! As I already wrote, on the one hand, our neighbors were English: a rather young lady of about 60 years old and 2 of her companions, about 75 years old. and by 8:00 for breakfast. After that, we still had the opportunity to sleep until the beginning of the tenth morning, no longer, because at this time our lovely neighbors return from breakfast! You could set your watch on them. The TV is turned on so that we could watch the same channel with absolutely no sound. Well, they also talked accordingly. And it's all about football.
Such a neighborhood did not particularly bother us, but once again you won’t go out on the balcony in a swimsuit, and if in the evenings they sat on their balcony with wine and loudly discussed sports, it seemed that we live as one big friendly family. It was also lucky that only one lady lived in the room on the right, which was never heard. Cheap and angry, it rarely happens, in a word, a “burning” tour, it is a “burning” one.

4. Nutrition:
The hotel offers only half board, but we don’t take anything else in Mallorca, for us this is the best option.
Breakfasts, dinners - usual for the "troika", nothing super tasty, exotic ...but not bad either. But I will still describe 2 shortcomings.
At that moment, when the shelves of various fruits were breaking in vegetable shops, they were not observed at all in the hotel: sour grapes, even more sour kiwi, I didn’t even suspect that such things happen at all, it seems that there were pineapples and other fruits canned from iron cans! In my opinion, it doesn't fit at all.

And secondly, somehow the restaurant lacked aesthetics, a “restaurant” look, so to speak, you feel like in an ordinary cafe. Salads were laid out on some kind of metal trays, meat and cheese cuts too. One day a week, on Friday, they have a gala dinner. A little more variety and festively decorated dishes, i. e. a lot of greens, lettuce, etc. Take the same Gran Canaria or the mainland of Spain, the same 3 * resort hotels, in them such “holiday decoration” was everyday, well and in this hotel is considered festive. Well, that's it, the details.

5. Entertainment and shopping:
We left the hotel after breakfast and returned only for dinner, so we did not occupy ourselves in the hotel. There is a small pool there, but I have never seen anyone swimming there. There is a bar where the whole public goes after dinner. The hotel is aimed at the German-speaking audience, there is even music in German. Sticks are thrown aside, and everyone starts dancing merrily to the music of the 70s, remembering their youth.

But in Cala Millor itself there are discos and nightclubs, young people will find where to have fun.

After dinner, we went shopping, there are a lot of them in the pedestrian zone. All sorts of beach and bathing accessories, starting from 3 euros ...perfumery and cosmetics stores, the prices are the same as in Germany. Before flying to Mallorca, I went to the Kaufhof shopping center and looked at the prices of the goods I was interested in, then compared, cent to cent, tried to bargain, they are not inferior, unlike other places.
A million of all kinds of leather goods ...and if you start to carefully choose something, you will not find anything decent. And of course, jewelry stores, ranging from dyed plastic, made to look like pearls, and the price is corresponding to Majorika-Perle branded products. So finding gifts for your loved ones will not be difficult.

6. Beach:
I really liked the beach, almost 2 km long, when you get tired of sunbathing, it is very pleasant to walk along it. When the sea is calm, the water is crystal clear, and depending on the sun or clouds, the color of the water is constantly changing. The sand is fine, almost white. In some places there are large stones, cobblestones and a lot of small algae around them, but 6-7 meters in one direction or another and again the beach is amazing.
Early in the morning and in the evenings, a car drives by the water's edge, combs the sand, rakes algae into a pile and takes them out, but then new ones reappear near the shore, and only in certain places, where there are stones, and so every day. Where we swam, the entry into the sea is gentle, 20-30 meters and you can swim.

Umbrellas and sun loungers are paid, all for 4.00 euros. You can pull out the sunbeds from under the umbrella and pay only for them, in October the sun is not so active and burning, we basically didn’t need an umbrella. The “manager” of the beach always appears with the same set of words, if translated into Russian, it sounds like this: hello, you already paid, come on, pay, who didn’t pay today, it will rain tomorrow, police, bandits. A set of words in German, as if there were no other nationalities there. It can come up to the same ones 2-3 times, and never to others at all, it doesn’t mark the sunbeds in any way, and therefore doesn’t remember who has already paid him and who hasn’t.
From time to time, the Chinese pass along the beach: hallo, massage. Fruit vendors: cocone/melone... but if you don't show interest, no one bothers.

Sometimes you can see thin German women and portly Russian-speaking Topless. But for some reason, young girls with beautiful breasts, who really have something to show, have always been in swimsuits.
It was always calm on the beach, no screams, much less no theft, as they say. Usually at 3-4 we went to a cafe somewhere, camera / phone / wallet with us, everything else in a bag under a sunbed. A lot of people did this and everything was fine.

7. Excursions:
As elsewhere, many excursions are offered, we have already been somewhere, we have already seen something, so we choose a boat trip on a catamaran from Cala Millor to Cala Figuera.

The shores of this part of the island are not at all picturesque: small rocks, small coves ...not beautiful houses.
The only interesting thing was to watch rock climbers: long and patiently, sometimes falling into the water, they climb up, and then experience instant happiness in a second jump into the heights of the cliff again into the sea ....and climb up again...

Thus, having seen the nearby resort villages, I came to the conclusion that the choice in favor of Cala Millor was made correctly. Well, maybe Sa Coma and S'Illot, they also seem to have decent beaches. Even despite the bad weather and strong wind, we were satisfied with the walk.

And summing up: I am satisfied with the place, I liked it for once, no more. I don't even know who to recommend the hotel to...and not more than one week.

As for someone Turkey, as for someone the Red Sea ...so Mallorca for us, always for and at any time of the year! ! !
