I liked the fact that despite the loud name and 5 *, it is very cozy, family-friendly and not pretentious. What you need for a holiday in the mountains with friends or family.
The rooms are spacious, with a lot of wooden elements, which creates an atmosphere of comfort and warmth. The balconies are huge, many rooms have mountain views.
Excellent European breakfasts, good service.
Good Spa in the hotel! ! especially liked the outdoor jacuzzi! ! Great place to unwind after skiing.
And the most important feature of the hotel is its location! It is located directly under the lift.
In truth, there are better Kempinskis (the same Grand Hotel Kempinski in Slovakia / Strbske Pleso), but this one "takes" with its comfort, simplicity and sincerity.
In a word - I recommend!
The hotel is located very close to the ski lift and offers a VIP ski pass (skip pass to the ski lift).
Highly trained staff, large SPA complex, luxurious restaurant, sushi bar, karaoke.
But the rooms are old fashioned in my opinion.
The hotel is suitable for all demanding tourists: families, couples, skiers.
We flew to Thessaloniki, from there by bus, but the road is comfortable, especially considering that there is no direct route to Sofia from us, this option turned out to be very profitable. The resort itself is so well developed, a bunch of MEKHANE (national taverns), supermarkets, discos, very affordable prices, a large bowl of chicken soup, if you translate into euros = 2 euros!
We decided not to be stingy and lived in Kempinski, in general the location is ideal - next to the ski lift and with the entire infrastructure, in front of the hotel there is a river! Inside, everything is like a palace, well, as it should be in 5 *, spa services are at the level, my wife hung out every evening. There are no problems with food at all, the palace is just in a snowy fairy tale!
I can definitely tell you that there has never been a more comfortable ski holiday in my life!
