We went as always with a company (12 people), flew to Geneva, the transfer to the place took 3 hours. We booked Le Tikal apartments: 2 rooms for 4 people and one for 8 people, as well as not everyone was able to go, five of us lived in this room. 4-bed rooms are rather small, a room with two separate beds and a hall with a kitchen and a sofa bed. The rooms are small, but on the 6th floor, where there is a ski in / ski out. We had room 607 and to the left of it was the door to the street, so I almost put my skis on in the room and go! Therefore, we did not use the ski room, and all the equipment was carried to the room, the boots were dried on the radiator. The entrance to the 8-bed room was on the seventh floor, then in the room itself there was a spiral staircase (under which we left our skis) and the apartment itself: 3 bedrooms with two separate beds, two toilets and three showers, a kitchen with all equipment and a large table, as well as a lounge with three sofas and a TV. All rooms are very warm, the kitchens had all the necessary utensils, a refrigerator, a microwave, a dishwasher, upon arrival they were given washcloths and dishwashing detergent, dishwasher tablets, shower gels and soap, as well as bedding sets and towels. Only garbage bags were missing, but there is a store nearby where you can buy everything you need, you don’t even need to go outside - the entrance to the store is through an underground passage directly from the hotel. But five minutes walk from the hotel there is a SPAR supermarket, there is more choice and slightly lower prices. The hotel has the ability to connect to wi-fi Internet, we took a connection for 3 devices for 25 euros for a week (at the reception they helped us pay with a card). No deposit was required from us, upon departure we paid a resort fee - 7 euros per person per week. Val Thorens itself is a small town, designed only for skiers, as I understand it, that all apartments have a ski in / ski out, which we really liked - a day skied and you drive straight from the hill to your hotel, you don’t need to go anywhere, drive. Near the hotel there is a shopping center and a spa center in it, consisting of a bathhouse and a small pool (I didn’t go there myself, but according to my friends, it’s not great). From Val Thorens it is easy to move to the neighboring Meribel and Courchevel valleys, so when buying ski passes, we decided not to save money and take the Three Valleys for all days and turned out to be right. Val Thorens is the highest resort of the three valleys and the weather there is often windy, but if you move a little lower to the neighboring valleys, the weather is much milder. By the way, I'm not a super-skier, but I got to all the valleys, you can find the way both along the red and blue slopes. But another time we would have settled in Meribel - it is located in the middle and it is more convenient to get to either BT or Curonian. The lifts start working at 9 and finish at 16-16:30. If you did not have time to get to your valley, you will have to get there by transport. So, once we were late for our lift and stayed in the Menuir closest to us, and from there we got out by ski bus, which, to our surprise, was paid - about 5 euros per person. and 15 minutes on the road. We recognized a taxi - about 70 euros for a bus.

We went to the local nightclub Malaysia a couple of times (entrance is free) - I liked it very much, I recommend))) But we didn’t get to Folly Duck, which is located on the mountain (((Everyone was postponed until the last day, and the weather turned out to be non-flying. I think too worth visiting this place

In general, I liked everything, Three Valleys is a wonderful resort, with ample opportunities for skiing, the only negative is the high prices. Ski passes, equipment rental, groceries, cafes/restaurants are much more expensive than in Austria or Italy (but this is our personal opinion). And yet, if in Austria, Italy and Bulgaria we combined skiing with excursions, then it’s problematic to get out of Val Thorens anywhere in one day, so we devoted the whole week only to skiing)))

Summing up, my friends and I decided that we would be happy to return to the Three Valleys!!! !
