Hello! I wanted to share my emotions from the holiday, which took place in May 2017. My friend and I rested on the Halkidiki peninsula on the 3rd finger, near Athos, at the Aristoteles holiday resort & spa.
We settled in eco rooms, which were located on the mountain. In principle, we booked this, thank God, the agency warned where these rooms were located, so there was no surprise for us. When we checked in, they helped us carry our suitcases, which we certainly could not have done on our own. So every day we started with a warm-up - descent and ascent up the hill. The room is nice, they cleaned every day, which was very pleasing. The food was just excellent - a buffet with various European and Greek dishes. Sometimes even chefs stood behind the counter and prepared a salad or cut meat from the ingredients you chose. We were very pleased with the cuisine and ate to satiety.
The hotel has its own beach, which we reached through an underground passage. Descent into the water is uniform. Sun beds on the beach are paid, 3 euros a set, that is, 2 lay and an umbrella. We really liked to buy the favorite drink of the Greeks on the beach - Frappe. In general, they felt like queens. Every Friday there was a Greek evening where we were taught Greek dances. Nearby there are no clubs, no bars, no discos. This is how you get a quiet vacation.
During the day we sometimes went by shuttle bus to Ouranoupoli. Transport was paid at the reception and it cost only 1.5 euros. We bought souvenirs there and ate seafood for only 15 euros.
One day, the girls from the travel company were ordered to rent a car and drove around the peninsula.
We went on one relaxation excursion - Aridea-Edessa. We really enjoyed the hot springs and had a very tasty meal at the local tavern.
It's a pity that we rested only a week, we have to come for more days in order to do everything!
