We traveled with six of us, took 3 standard rooms, instead of 2-bed rooms we got 3- and 4-bed rooms. True, one of them had a cramped bathroom. Rooms are cleaned daily, linen change - 2 times a week. Safe in rooms free of charge. You can eat all day, starting from 6-30 in the morning until one in the morning - in one of the bars-restaurants, have something to eat. There are beach towels, free of charge and without a deposit, but most of them are very old and faded. Therefore, if there is room in the suitcase, it is better to take your own. The food is good, but very, very little seafood, for 2 weeks of rest - once there were shrimp, once - shrimp salad, once - some other "shells". Minus - often the dishes smoothly move from breakfast to lunch or from lunch to dinner, etc. From dinner, all cuts remain in their place, by morning they only fold more neatly, and the sausage sometimes turns sour. . . The youth is boring, there is no entertainment, the disco is far away - not 800 m in any way. For 6-7 euros you can get to Platanias, take a walk, there are many shops, taverns. The staff is attentive and friendly, no complaints. We rented a car in Platanias. They took a brand new Peugeot 308, only 2 weeks. typewriter, for 3 days for 167 euros. It is better to buy excursions in the same Platanias or in Chania - the price is exactly 2 times less than the Kalamaki guides offer, and everyone is taken in the same buses, boats, boats, etc. For example, on about. It's very cool to go to the village of Argyropolis - many waterfalls and taverns where you catch trout and fry it for you - yummy!! ! We caught 2 trout, weighing 1.3 kg. + tzatziki + bread and 2 bottles. lemonade - it cost 40 euros. We went to the monastery of Preveli (upper) - an ancient monastery (16th century) with a miraculous cross. From there we went to the Libyan Sea. Thus, in one trip we visited 3 seas, in general, Crete is surrounded by 4 seas: the Cretan in the North, the Libyan in the South, the Myrtoan and Carpathian on the sides. The island is very beautiful, but you need to travel to see it - you will not see beauty while sitting in a hotel. I almost forgot to write about the hotel beach. I did not like. Pebbles, it hurts to get in and out, we bought slippers, but it’s not very pleasant to swim in them, but there was no way out. If at least a small storm, then in general a "pipe" - you can't enter the sea. My mother, and she is already 73 years old, swam in the pool almost all the time. With children, it will also be difficult to swim - except perhaps in the pool. But I love the sea very much, but I am indifferent to the pools. That's all in a nutshell. Summary: the price of the tour to the hotel (we took 1000 euros per person for 14 nights, all inclusive, standard room, peak season) corresponds to the quality.
