Last year, our whole friendly company waved to the island of Corfu. It didn’t take long to choose a tour operator, as I already had a good experience with Mouzenidis. We chose the Corfu Senses 3 star hotel. I liked its location and relatively low cost. There were practically no Russians at the hotel, which can be written as a plus. They settled quickly, and even at our request they moved us to rooms with a sea view, but most likely in the hot season this is unlikely to be possible, although an attempt is not torture. At the hotel we only had breakfast, dinner and spent the night, the rest of the time we traveled around the island. The food at the hotel is ok. Of course, there was not much choice, but we did not go hungry. The bar offered Greek coffee and Kerkeria wines. Until now, with my friends, we remember how pleasant it was to drink them. There are many taverns and pubs within walking distance where you can taste national dishes. We can say we got hooked on moussaka and octopuses.
The sea deserves special attention. Clean coast, clear emerald water, what else do you need for a tourist on a beach holiday? Sunbeds, by the way, at the hotel are free, but you need to take a towel on deposit. In the rooms, apart from soap, there is nothing else from personal hygiene products, so I recommend taking shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, etc. with you. For 4 days we rented 2 cars through our hotel guide, and traveled the entire island along and across! The views are wonderful, I have never seen so many temples and churches in such a small area. Ask your guide right away where the road is bad and where it is better to walk. In fact, we regretted a little that we didn’t go on a sightseeing tour of the city of Corfu, after all, the guide would have told us more interesting information than we found on the Internet. In general, the rest went off with a bang, the weather pleased with the warm sun. We are very satisfied with the hotel, the company and the island as a whole!
