And so our vacation ended. I decided to unsubscribe about my impressions about the island and the rest in general. We have been flying to Greece for a long time, but we were on the island of Corfu for the first time. I would like to note right away that Kerkyra (as the Greeks call Corfu) is very different from other regions of Hellas. With its architecture, history and, of course, greenery.
The hotel was booked by ourselves. I read a lot of reviews, many of them were positive. We wanted something in the center and not far from the capital. Hotel Oasis is located in the Perama area, it is a very quiet and picturesque area, suitable for a relaxing holiday. There are no clubs or bars here. Only a few family friendly taverns and hotels. We were settled in a bungalow. The furniture is not very new, but everything is clean and working properly. There is air conditioning, refrigerator, TV and hair dryer. An iron can be requested at the reception. The Internet in the room is weak, we went to the reception to contact our relatives, the signal is good there. The area is small but cozy. The sea is calm and clean. We love to snorkel a lot and watch the underwater world. Here you can often see different fish, crabs, sea urchins....a couple of times even found a starfish and an octopus. The food at the hotel is modest but tasty. The chef is always out in the hall. Communicates with guests. All hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Across the road there is a market and an ATM (even in Russian). Very comfortably!
Being at home now we really miss our island of Corfu. Hope we'll be back! )))
