I decided to write this review because there is still nothing about this wonderful island on this site. The trip was five months ago, but the memories of this wonderful corner of Greece are still fresh.
The island of Kefalonia is the largest in the chain of the Ionian Islands, has not yet been "promoted" by our tour operators, direct charters from St. Petersburg began to fly only last year, and this is wonderful, until it is mastered by tourists, it will remain mysterious and a little wild for a long time with clean beaches and sea.
The Marina Bay 3 * hotel is located in the southern part of the island on the shores of the protected Munda beach, where in July the eggs of the carriage-careta turtle are laid. Soft and fine sand, smooth entry into the sea, warm and gentle water of the Ionian Sea, wide and long coastline, no bodies around, because there are simply no other hotels nearby, such a beach paradise on the island of Kefalonia.

The hotel is small, 30 rooms, consists of five 2 and 3-storey buildings. The hotel rooms are large, all with sea views, new furniture and plumbing, there is a kitchenette with utensils and everything you need for cooking, two Russian-language channels, cleaning every day, linen change every other day, everything is clean and tidy. By the way, the maid Natasha from Ukraine is such a universal "guide" for our entire St. Petersburg building. All rooms have a comfortable furnished balcony with a wonderful view of the sea and the neighboring island of Zakynthos.
The hotel has a swimming pool, a bar, a restaurant and a shop, no nightlife, very quiet, all other entertainment is 3 kilometers in the village of Skala, 45 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by car, 6 euros by taxi. To see the sights of the island and visit various famous beaches (for example, Myrtos, photos of which have been seen by everyone among the best views of Greece), it is advisable to rent a car, our rights are suitable, the roads are not the worst. Another tour operator Solveks offers many bus tours around the island and boat trips.
Kefalonia is very green, picturesque, unhurried, not yet "spoiled" by tourists. And I recommend the secluded Marina Bay hotel for lovers of a relaxing holiday, without fuss and parties, you can go with children, because. the beach is one of the best in Kefalonia
