Holidays in Greece with a 9 month old baby?
We really want to relax at the end of May in Greece. My daughter will be 9 months old, I found several hotels according to the "mom and baby" system (hotels for families with children under 2.5 years old). Hotels: CLUB SALUT - MARMARI BEACH (4*), CLUB SALUT-LOUIS CRETA PRINCESS 4* - CRETE, NANA BEACH 4*+
Advise whether it is worth going at all, you can, of course, sit at home (in an apartment) all summer, but we don’t have summer at all (the Far North) and it’s prickly. I have never been to Greece. If we do go, how to protect the child, what clothes to take on the road to Moscow (1.5 days by car) and for Greece. What's the weather like? What are the prices in Greece? How long is the flight to Greece?

In fact, I would not advise you to go with such a small child. Climate change, flight, heat... all this can affect his well-being. Or maybe not. Here you see for yourself.
Fly to Crete a little more than 4 hours. In summer it is hot there, and if the hotel is not near the coast, it is very stuffy. For half an hour of walking around the Palace of Knossos, I almost threw back my hooves from the heat. And the cicadas are yelling all around ...

I would recommend you to choose Turkey for a holiday with such a small child. There are very many hotels that have a children's menu (up to broccoli whipped with a blender). And go for at least 2 weeks. I will tell you why Greece is not very suitable for this. Vacation with a child is a stupid stay of your whole family on the territory of the hotel and the beach! and EVERYTHING! and in Greece, just sitting in a hotel is blasphemy! Of course, I'm only judging by my child! Good luck and make the right choice!

If your child could speak, after a day and a half of shaking in the car, you would learn a lot about yourself.
Can't wait at least until next year? Sverbit?

Hello. And mine will be 8 months old and I am going to Rhodes according to the mother and baby system, there will be a mother's school and it will be possible to consult with a pediatrician.

Last year, it was warm in Moscow already at the end of May (of course, it happens in different ways, you still need to take a warm blouse on a long trip). I was in Greece in mid-May last year. So early in the morning it is cool and you have to go out for breakfast in a blouse. And the day is already hot, very good.

By the way, I do not agree with Lulu2008, each child has everything individually. My perfectly tolerates roads (pah-pah) and we drove a little in the car in the winter.

I didn't say that everyone would be like us!!!
read carefully "Of course, I'm judging only by my child!"

I read it for the first time :) I didn't want to offend.

But it seems to me that it all depends on how the mother is set up. If there is no fear, then everything will go fine. We travel a lot and I was surprised to note that foreigners are not afraid to travel with children (even on a glacier in Norway I saw a couple with a baby in a kangaroo!) If you don’t plan to rent a car and watch Greece, perhaps you should go to Turkey, where a hotel holiday with children is still better thought out (IMHO).

mdaaa, I wouldn’t risk going to Norway with a baby, although it’s clear that people are everywhere :)

If you still decide, then I would recommend both named hotels in Crete. On Kos, in Marmari, there is a small drawback - mosquitoes will bite the baby there. If, of course, you use repellents, then Marmari Beach is ideal - there is such an entry into the sea that swimming with a baby is a pleasure. And the sand is clean. There are no mosquitoes in Crete.
