Hello, now I’ll tell you how I spent my honeymoon at The White Palace Grecotel Luxury Resort 5-level luxury turning into luxury, personally I would not give more than 4 stars to this hotel.
This is not the first time we have rested in Greece and we prefer high-level hotels. In Grecotel not the first time but in such a terrible first.
The hotel was advised by the Tour Grad agency, describing how cool it is in all respects, not a hotel, but a dream. Perhaps that is why the level of disappointment was high.
I always read reviews before choosing a place to stay and there were a lot of questions, as many wrote about old rooms, a narrow beach, animation, etc. , and a honeymoon is not every day, I wanted to get an unforgettable vacation. (should have listened to the reviews!!! )
But again, the agency convinced that there was a reconstruction of the rooms and everything was at the highest level.

Booked on pre-booking many months before departure and agreed on everything. We arrived on May 20th. 17 for 10 days.
We were 17 people of different ages with different incomes, so the rooms were from standard to expensive and very expensive.

With us, more than one photo shoot was done to advertise the hotel, where tables were especially decorated, good sun loungers were brought, and so on. What was different in reality?

Everything was old, there was a gap of two fingers between the door lock and the wall, the bathroom door hung on bent-turned hinges, sorry, even the toilet brush lived a separate life from the handle. Most of all I was struck by the fact that in our time for very little money in the rooms there are NO air conditioners !! ! There are only fans who, when it's hot, excuse me "not in the trande, not in the red army", so sticking a sweaty body to the sheet is an essential service of a luxury hotel !!! ! Starting from the 4th day, I sobbed because it was not necessary to say that it was possible to sleep there and get enough sleep. Noise isolation is completely absent. Our room FOR HONEYMOONS for big money was at the entrance on one side, early in the morning people went to the pool from the other corridor part in the morning for breakfast, at night from gatherings.

I had the feeling that I was sleeping in the corridor because the happy couple got a room near the corridor where there was no carpet and every step was echoed, you can even hear people in neighboring rooms flushing water in the toilets, among many other things. By the way, if anything, this is SWIM UP BUNGALOW SEA VIEW SHARING POOL number 101.
In addition to this, we paid for two PETIT ‘YALI’ SHARING POOL rooms, but it turned out that instead of this, 1 room was given to the guests for absolutely not what they paid for and not for the better. When they came to find out at the reception, the administrator Galina offered 2 options for the 1st. Move to an even cheaper one with a difference of 700 euros for a second, respectively, no one returns the difference, or the 2nd option 2 days before the end of the holiday, move to a room that is paid after the fact, and it was served from the master's shoulder and they looked at us like idiots not understanding why we refuse such a wonderful offer.
Then, trying to save the situation, she began to lie that she offered our friends with a small child who paid for the same number and, by a lucky chance, they got it (perhaps because they had another more responsible tour operator and agency) to change numbers, but they refused. (there was no such conversation) What shocked us at all ! ! The tour operator TPG, a certain Lilia, having learned about the problem, apparently the most responsible one, dialed and asked, “-Do not spoil the mood, not for yourself, not for us, because the rest depends on the mood, so try to raise it for yourself and everything will be fine !! ! » The agency said to these problems that they would do everything they could, but after that there was no answer or greetings and there were no changes. A fact is a fact until you donate the money, everyone imitates active interest and care, after that no one needs you.
Therefore, to say that it made sense to change the number for the newlyweds, no, they can only tell that they will do everything for your comfort. They ordered an iron to the room the 1st time they didn’t bring it at all, the 2nd time they brought it in 2 hours it was broken at the reception and they asked to quickly change it because in 30 minutes we were supposed to have a wedding photo session, the answer was of course within a minute, as a result they brought it the next day after lunch !! ! The food, in principle, is not bad, but for the first time I saw a plentiful lack of seafood in Greece. A la carte was painted for us as a place you should definitely go to, BUT everything on the menu is the same as in the main restaurant, only you don’t wait for an hour and a half, taking into account the fact that you choose the menu for the day. For children, the rest is not bad, at least there is a kids club where our kids liked it + there is baby food and a children's pool.

Another interesting thing we were immediately warned that the towels in the room that need to be changed should not be thrown on the floor, but in the bath, because the German comrades are fighting for something)) But this is not the only thing they are fighting for ! ! At the pool, you can’t speak loudly to the Germans, you can’t turn on the music for the Germans, the apogee was when a friend turned on the cartoon on the tablet to feed her 2-year-old daughter, she was asked to turn it off because it interferes with her fellow Germans. As it turned out, the hotel is more focused on the Germans. A familiar tour operator was surprised that we chose this hotel because it is not suitable for our people - the Slavs, because there are a lot of complaints. But this, unfortunately, was post-factum information. A safe entrance to the sea is to look for a lot of stones. The beach is very narrow and the sun loungers are a bit idiotic. There is no animation!
They wanted to play volleyball, they didn’t have a net, of course, this didn’t surprise us anymore, he promised to buy it and that was it. An animator acts as a DJ at the discos and puts on music at the request of activists, so the disco of German songs and drinking in St. Petersburg was not very impressive, to put it mildly. The view is really beautiful but in Greece everywhere is beautiful. For fans of a photo session, I strongly advise against using the services of a hotel photographer. A photo costs 5 euros, but “they have golden hands” don’t waste money and time on a phone. The photo is no worse. Cleaning in the rooms does not change the beds, but simply fill them up? the floor was washed once and then after they found a black spot in the middle of the room from broken cosmetics, the toilets are not washed. As a result, I want to say that for this money there are a lot of options in which you get what you paid for. This hotel is not worth the money. There is nothing for young people to do there!
If all the same, there is a chance, then only families with children and standard rooms make no sense to overpay! Special thanks to the people who spoiled the honeymoon with their indifference and irresponsibility for our money!! ! I hope our paths never cross again.
