The worst hotel in my life. Stayed in it from 12 to 25 May 2014.
1. Room of barrack type, which is two hundred years old.
2. The air conditioner did not work, the TV with a kinescope showed one channel in Greek, one of the two plastic chairs had a broken back (the chair was never changed), the high chair was also broken.
3. The radio by the bed did not work; instead, a Chinese, dilapidated clock radio stood on the nightstand.
4. There was no declared cleaning. For almost two weeks they removed it once, at my request.
5. Towels were not changed as often as they should, they were also changed once during the cleaning I initiated.
6. The staff, led by the owner of the hotel, are extremely reluctant to respond to the comments of the guests. Sometimes the conversation turned to shouting.
7. Food... about food in detail. After we checked in and it was time for dinner, we realized that all the comments (negative) were true. As soon as the doors of the "canteen" were opened, people rushed to the tables at a run to grab everything that was there. We did not attach importance to this immediately, but after half a minute we realized that this happens all the time. The "Brothers Slavs from Poland" were especially distinguished, five large-sized men surrounded a tray of food they liked and scooped up a plate to the top, after which they moved on to the next tray. Noticing their tactics, people hardly squeezed their way to the tray and pulled out food in the struggle!! ! They pulled out in the struggle - this is not an allegory. After looking at this disgrace, we turned to all those present with a request not to behave like pigs and retired to the reception, to find out and demand. The next day and until the end of our holiday, the staff of the "dining room" looked "wolf" at us. I want to note that there were no napkins, but after our demand to bring napkins, we received a response from the employee that this was not his job, we recommended finding the one whose job it was, and he took out a package of napkins. The next day and until the end of the holiday there were napkins on the tables. The following is a discussion of the menu of this institution. The menu is terrible. There is no meat as such. Dinners, as a rule, are made up of what people did not eat at lunch. For breakfast, sandwiches are made from what is left of dinner. In this place, I learned that there are such dishes as:
a) Sandwich with instant puree.
b) A casserole consisting of pasta, french fries and a roll, while the roll is in pieces like for a sandwich.
c) Pasta with flour sauce.
There were also generally incomprehensible dishes, the composition of which I did not even want to delve into.
Breakfast was always fried eggs and strange sandwiches. There is no oatmeal. Once there were boiled eggs. Milk (powdered) is diluted to such an extent that the white color gives off a blue tint. Juices from concentrate.

9. Shower for gnomes, on the toilet my knees rested on the shower, which was extremely uncomfortable. The shower drain did not work well, sometimes the water could leak for several hours. Hot water is available, but periodically it is turned off. Can be restored on demand.
Definitely described clearly. The next time I go to Greece, I will not use the services of tour operators, but I will choose everything myself, because. in this case I am insured against similar hotels. And to everyone else I can say the following: if you need a place only to spend the night, then in this case this hotel will suit you, in all other cases I do not recommend using the services of this establishment. IMPORTANT note: it is not clear why the inscriptions at the reception have not yet been changed and the Golden Sun sign has not been removed. Judging by the sign on the hotel, this is Rethymno Sunset, and for all other paraphernalia (towels, key rings, inscriptions at the reception, brochures at the reception) it is Golden Sun.

We took a tour to this hotel due to the lack of other hotels in the price category (I realized that you need to book accommodation in Crete in advance, we took a tour 2 weeks in advance) From the pros: we were given a sea view, although we should have seen the garden), quick check-in , almost daily housekeeping.

Cons: food. monotonous and not tasty at all, 800 meters to the beach and the beach itself is a solid minus, the pool is dirty, but we didn’t need it. But all these are trifles and Crete left the most unforgettable vacation about itself, take a car and Crete will conquer you, and you will conquer it !!!! ! Have a good rest.

We went to Crete for the first time and we were not very interested in the stars of the hotel. After reading both good and bad reviews, we hoped for the objectivity of both of them, and as planned, we only spent the night and ate at the hotel! And it turned out to be unbearable !!! ! We were settled as promised in a room with a sea view (and an obscure bush in front of the balcony), but! ! the bed and towels were dirty - they were all streaked, as if they had been ironed and beautifully folded, pillowcases on which, sorry, we lay our faces - I wanted to put them on these impudent maids' heads and strangle them ! ! I understand a crisis is a crisis.

We went to Crete for the first time and we were not very interested in the stars of the hotel. After reading both good and bad reviews, we hoped for the objectivity of both of them, and as planned, we only spent the night and ate at the hotel! And it turned out to be unbearable !!! ! We were settled as promised in a room with a sea view (and an obscure bush in front of the balcony), but! ! the bed and towels were dirty - they were all streaked, as if they had been ironed and beautifully folded, pillowcases on which, sorry, we lay our faces - I wanted to put them on these impudent maids' heads and strangle them ! ! I understand a crisis is a crisis. but not like a homeless person to live on vacation! After lengthy explanations, no one changed anything for us and we filed a request that the bedding not be changed in our room (everyone fled, the brakes work at the reception! ) further more! the air conditioning did not work, there were 2 bulbs out of 3 - like in a cellar, giant cockroaches ran in the bathroom, there was nothing new there - everything was old and shabby, there was no hot water in the evening ! ! (poor children whom their parents dragged to this hotel) It is far from the sea - especially when you return tired from an excursion or a beach, sawing downhill is not at all happy ! ! the beach that the jacombs offer the hotel is awesome! ! dirty, with stones at the bottom, during a storm you won’t even be left without legs (we went to Rethymno on the city beach, sand and clear water). Separately, it is worth noting the FOOD in this hotel!! ! HELP in the truest sense of the word! ! I'm surprised they also eat - how can you disrespect people to such an extent to feed them such muck !! ! Everyone who rested with us during this period spat and brought bought food in the supermarket to the dining room - why pay that kind of money (and there were people with olives, so they were supposed to have only one glass of any drink for dinner ! ! (Greeks go to Turkey and learn! )... I'm not talking about Greek olives and feta - nirazu !!!!!
In general, such trifles and the rest was a little overshadowed ! ! Although the impression of the whole of Crete and Greek cuisine leaves much to be desired. The European Union does not smell there! Spanish 2 stars turned out to be much better than Greek 3 stars!!
