Last year we had a great week of October in Rhodes, this year we knew for sure that we would go to Greece during our October vacation, but where exactly? I would like to see other islands as well. But as they say, money is everything. . .
On the Sanmara website, we saw an offer from Mitsis Fortuna Rhodes 5 * on ALL for our family (2 + 2) for 12 nights at a very reasonable price. The calculation was simple: in Rhodes there are 4 Mitsis 5 * hotels on ALL, in Grand and Alilu we will definitely not be settled, although, what the hell is not joking, but suddenly... : )), remain Maris and Village. Well, Crete and Corfu will wait, we still need to study Rhodes!
I was sure that we would get to the Village (the cheapest at that time from Mitsis, but more expensive than Fortuna), but the whole bus who bought a tour of Fortuna was taken to Maris. I was even a little upset, because. when you visit the hotel again (from your own experience), you are a little more picky about everything, but, on the other hand, you no longer waste time exploring the territory, the range of services, etc. In general, the impressions about the hotel are the same as last year, the most positive. There are no global changes. Most importantly, the people are the same: the same waiters, bartenders, receptionists, the same young man delivering drinks to the rooms. It was nice to see familiar faces too. And it seemed to me that they communicate with me, as if they had known me for 150 years.

The check-in went quickly, the questionnaires were already filled out, the rooms were prepared. Handed out the keys, ringed and sent to dinner. We got a room in a bungalow near the pool, directly opposite the bar. At first we thought it was a bad place. As it turned out, on the contrary, everything is nearby, it is convenient to run for an ice cream, for a beer. Noisy, of course, but the children no longer sleep during the day, and in the evening this bar is closed. Well, lovers of noisy night swims in the pool were only once - they survived))) The children did not move at all in their beds. In general, it is we - adults - who like to hide behind the sleep of children, they say, they wake up. My people will get so mad during the day that even from the cannons they fell at night. There is a playground nearby, the wretched truth (I’m already starting to grumble), for us it was only a plus that it was nearby, and we personally don’t react to children’s screams and screeches))) What really annoyed me a little was the morning discussions of world problems maids. The first few days, while lying down and sleeping off, and then we perceived it as an alarm clock)
About the number. This is where the biggest disappointment happened. Last year we had a room with a partition, this time no luck. You can live, but not very comfortable. As we were explained that with a partition - these are family, and a year ago we were just lucky that there were no standards available. It seemed to me that such partition walls were something like an improved standard, and family ones were full-fledged two-room apartments. Let's know now.
Cleaned daily, for some reason shampoos were not replenished, tk. only dad uses them, he had enough of the available ones. However, towels were changed twice a day. There were no bathrobes or slippers. Replenishment of the bar is provided every other day. And again, a minus compared to last year)) - there is no beer in the set of drinks ((.
About the Mitsis Friends Club. Reading reviews about all the Mitsis in Rhodes (just in case), I found out about the Mitsis Friends Club. Naturally, we registered, received card numbers. Requested to credit points for the last trip, but they were never credited. They wrote in both English and Russian, asking about points, about the possibility of obtaining a card in a hotel where we don’t know yet. But no one answered us. As a result, we arrived at the hotel without points, but with card numbers. Demitros, the Friends staff member, told us that there were no points - and no privileges. About children's entertainment. I already mentioned the site - small, unpretentious, especially for a family hotel, where a large number of guests are families with children. Last year we never swam in the children's pool, and in general it was somehow empty, this year it was more popular. Despite the fact that the water there is much colder than in the sea, it was very difficult to get the children out of it. My daughter explained to me that the sea is too big and there are fish there, and she is not afraid in the pool. Well, for the son, the slides decide everything.
There is a children's club, there were no Russian-speaking animators this year either. Although it is strange, because the Russian-speaking guests are well at least half. But the children somehow understood the girls. If it were bad and not comfortable, then my small fry would not aspire to go there. My daughter got frustrated when she had to miss the opening hours of the kids club due to trips outside the hotel. And when our son, who is not swirling with us, found out that they were taking him for pizza and ice cream, it became doubly difficult to persuade him to travel. Well, we didn’t miss the mini disco even after trips. All the same Mickey Mouse and the same set of songs, although no, some new melody has appeared.
About the beach. Of course, the beach looks best in the morning. Although it is cold, it is very comfortable to swim. The sand is cold, but the water is warm, you come in to get warm. By 11 o'clock the beach is packed, but even with so many vacationers, there were always free beds. Only once, on the very first day after arrival, did I have to throw things on the sand, and then not for long.

And even some of the red fish (I don’t remember salmon, trout) in Greek and Italian restaurants are also tasteless. What can I say, once again we were convinced that Mitsis Rhodes Maris is a very pleasant hotel, suitable for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Yes, the hotel is located far from the capital of the island - the city of Rhodes, from the main attractions. But, taking into account the small size of Rhodes, you can successfully combine a measured beach holiday at the Mitsis Rhodes Maris 5 * hotel with an active tourist and educational one.
