The hotel is located in a gentle part of the island, as a result there is a plus: the beach is long and spacious, you can step aside, swim wherever you want. But there is also a minus - the rocky part is much more picturesque. The scenery didn't really impress me. The usual semi-sand spit, sand and pebbles. Nothing mind blowing.
The hotel itself is ordinary. The food is ordinary, quite varied, the level of an average hotel buffet. The room is small. The sea view was well... theoretically. There was a tree in front of the balcony, and a tiny corner of the sea was visible. But you can't fault it, the room looked at the sea. Everything is fine, but from 5 * you expect something more.
You can go to the village, walk for 20 minutes, the road is not very interesting, and the village too.
But on the other hand, the island is located far away, there are not very many people, it is quiet, very calm.
In general, I liked Thassos, but that I would come again is unlikely. And definitely not in Ilio Mare. Expensive and not really worth it.
Wi-fi in the lobby and overloaded.
