First trip to India
Help, please, with a choice. I am flying to India for the first time, I will spend 3 days in Delhi (Agra), and then I want to go to nature and choose between GOA or Kerala (Kochi).
There is a lot of information on GOA, but not enough on Kerala. What do you want to get from the trip:
1. Possibility to rent a scooter.
2. See nature.
Where is the best place to fly alone?

I'm leaning towards Goa - the first trip, and Goa is more geared towards tourists than Kerala .. Figure out what's what and next time make a route as you like. Goa is cheaper than Kerala. Nature - take excursions to the reserve, old Goa, etc. The beaches of Goa are magnificent.
There is no problem with renting a scooter - it's like dirt on every corner. (Actually, dirt is also present in some places;) I think you are aware - left-hand and chaotic traffic is not so simple.

Kerala is more focused on Ayurveda. Goa for tourists. Read more and choose between North and South Goa. Northern is more party. The southern one is more sedate. In the North, it is conditionally possible to single out the Russian Goa - Arambol, Ashvem.
Candolim, Calangute is more international, many English and locals.
With regard to nature, it is necessary to clarify what is meant. In the neighboring state of Kartanaka, there are a lot of interesting places related to Hindu culture and history.

If you like to drink, then Kerala will not suit you. For nature, go to the south of South Goa. Palolem or Agonda

"Candolim, Calangute - these are rare vipers! With bags and brutal prices.". Of course, this is complete nonsense. I walked from Arambol to Morjim and from Vagator through Anjuna to Sinkerim. All beaches are different and each has its pros and cons.
For myself, I chose a wild beach (only 250 meters long) between Kardolim and Karangut. For prices: currency exchange in "Russian" Goa is simply extortionate. You can't pay by card there. In Newtons and Delfinos (Calangute, Candolim) they accept cards and paying by card (at least for me) is more profitable. Many restaurants have already started accepting card payments.
If you are traveling with small children, then it is better to go to a beach with a gentle bottom, for example, Morjim.
In Calangute, Candolim, as a rule, a high breaking wave. But, if you swim well, then you will swim well behind the surf. In the same Morzhdim, until you reach the depth, you will spit and go back.
If you are on the "you" with a bike, then a great option is to settle in Siolim (approximately in the middle of North Goa), housing prices are low, travel around all the beaches and choose to your liking). Renting a bike will cost 300-400 rupees per day.

It’s inexpensive to fly from Kerala to the Maldives if anything, and in general there are fewer Russian tourists in Kerala, there is a cool boat tour on the river, a boat hotel, the beaches are clean, you just need to go when the waves are not very big, you can rent a scooter, there are interesting ones nearby places, to the border with Sri Lanka, an interesting temple on the sea.
In general, they call it gods country, so it's really cool there
But I don’t advise you to go now, recently there was a flood in the wrong area
Better to the Maldives from there)

I am for kerala. If you are a nature lover, this is the place for you. munnar, alappuja, wayanad, waterfalls, lakes. yes, a bit more expensive, but worth it. but in general, there are 2 unspoken camps - those who love Goa more (cheapness, but worse conditions, many Russians) and those who love Kerala (a little more expensive, but a relaxing holiday, cleanliness, better conditions, but few Russians, except for Varkala and kovalama). It’s already possible to go, the consequences of the floods have been eliminated, the roads have been repaired)))
