Hotel ratings by criteria:
A married couple (30-35 years old) rested at the end of August. The choice of the hotel happened by chance, because. visas were, and the hotel went to the one offered by the operator (no options). It was very embarrassing that 3 *, but after communicating with compatriots vacationing in 4, our three turned out to be higher than 4 *. In general, there are no 5 * hotels in Alassio.
Road: From the airport of Genoa by bus, it took 3 hours to get to the place, taking into account the arrival on the way to other cities and hotels. About Alassio itself: an ordinary resort town. The only +, having traveled all over the Ligurian coast, Alassio has the best beaches.
Hotel: far from the sea, check-in happened quickly. The number went not in the main building, but behind it in the street. Very quiet. The room is tolerable, clean with high ceilings and a balcony. The room has a combined SU, shower, one large bed, table, built-in wardrobes, two armchairs, TV (no Russian channels), safe and air conditioning (free), no bar. On the territory of one small pool (water without bleach).

Room service: towels were changed every day, bed linen was changed once for 7 days. From toiletries: paper and soap. The staff is very polite (almost do not speak English), I would say inconspicuous. They did everything quickly and conscientiously. Tips left on the bed or on the table remained untouched. The guide explained that this is not accepted, and if we wanted to thank, it is necessary to attach a note to the money. The hotel is small, the waiters and maids did not change throughout the week, by the end of the vacation they already knew everyone by name, and at the time of departure they generally said goodbye as relatives. The contingent of tourists: some Italians over 60 and older. Very noisy, like all Italians.
Food: the same breakfast every day: a slice of ham and cheese, toast, croissants, jams, cereal, milk. Tea (packaged), very tasty (brewed) coffee, hot milk to it. Dinner to choose from (two courses) meat or fish, soup or pasta. Dessert: ice cream or fruit.
Beach: the edge along the coast is divided between hotels. It is cheaper to go to the hotel beach, a sunbed 9 euros and an umbrella 5 euros (a sunbed without an umbrella is not provided). The beach of the Adler hotel is a 20-minute walk from the hotel. Prices for a sunbed and an umbrella on the territory of foreign hotels are 20 and 10 euros. Prices change depending on the month. There is a piece of the municipal (free) beach where you can sunbathe on a towel, but there is nowhere for an apple to fall.
The general impression of the holiday: they were, they saw. Taking into account excursions, + we looked at a lot on our own (we rented a car), nothing special. There are few Russians on the Ligurian coast (this is +), a rather expensive vacation. In Rimini, holidays are cheaper, more party-going and more Russian. The impression of Italy is a very specific country (my personal opinion), although we traveled around Europe.
ALL have a great vacation.
