Italy. . . it's hard to choose where you would like to go in this country. The whole of Italy is one big attraction. Therefore, purposefully going to some area is useless! At least that's what I thought. After much deliberation, I found a solution. Automobile! Here is what solves my problem.

The choice fell on a Volkswagen minivan. Brand new, last year. It was decided to go to Turin, the former capital of Italy, the city of the magic triangle and the guardian of the Shroud of Jesus Christ.

Before getting to Turin, I had to pay an infinite number of times to pay money for travel. Good thing there was a card. At some posts, cash was not accepted by machines.

The hotel was booked in the very center of the city. But getting to him was difficult. The car had to be left in the underground parking, and the suitcases were rolled along the sidewalks. This was the beginning of our journey in this country.

Our good friend from Kyiv, Masha, lives in Turin. She kindly agreed to be our guide. Were in the cathedral, where the shroud is located. It was not possible to see her, but it was possible to kneel in front of the glass behind which she is located.

There is another attraction - Mole Antonelliana. This tower is the same age as the Eiffel Tower. 167.5 meters! There is an observation deck. After standing in line for an hour, we heard that the weather began to deteriorate and the clouds descended on the city. It was not possible to see Turin from a bird's eye view. But then we ended up in the Egyptian Museum! Wow! What struck me in Turin. . . a lot of people on the streets. Clogged shops, cafes, restaurants. A real celebration of life.

We decided to go to Milan. The fashion capital of the world. At the gas station, at the entrance to the city, the cashier did not issue a check. And he tore off 80 euros for a tank of diesel. This is for you, not Switzerland! Shopping was not included in the travel plans. The next day, we went to Verona.

Ask anyone and they'll tell you what this city is famous for! A small courtyard with a bronze statue and a balcony on the second floor.

And yet, there you can write and leave notes, clinging them to the wall in incredible ways. Asking for love, happiness, prosperity. The house where Juliet lived! 6 euro entrance, to the second floor and balcony. I decided to climb onto the stone railing on the balcony. It succeeded, but the guard rose as if out of the ground and politely sent. . . down.

There is a belief that if you stroke Juliet's right breast, wishes will come true. Because of this, there is a copy in the yard, and the original in the house. With a rubbed hole, in a bronze chest. Poor Juliet, she's tired of making wishes come true!

Of course, there are a lot of different souvenirs. I confess that my heart was beating strongly when I took the first step into the yard. Whether Romeo stood in this place is not known for sure. But I believed that YES! I really liked Verona, you can feel Italy here.

But probably the most famous Italian cities are Rome and Venice. Balls, masks, carnivals. . . Women, in magnificent elegant dresses, rustling along the pavement. .

We booked the Villa Gasparini hotel, in the small town of Dolo, which is 15 km from Padua. It is located by the river, along which the excursion steamer runs. We liked the place so much that we decided to stay one more night. Venice is a 30 minute drive. Near the hotel, there is a bus stop to Venice. But we preferred the car.

I read that a storm with freezing wind is possible in November. And even floods. But no, the weather was wonderful and sunny.

This is a magical city. It chills the soul, torments the imagination and inflames desires. What I would like to recommend. If you have the opportunity to get to know the city well, you need three days and rent a hotel in Venice itself. Exchange money in advance, as the exchange rate there is extortionate. And enjoy this city, breathe its air, walk along the narrow streets, sit in noisy restaurants. Try the local crabs. They are very small and they cook wonderfully.

From the district of Venice, they sent us a fine for driving. 240 Euro. In Padua. Although, where we broke the rules - we could not remember.

Italy, like all of Europe, is full of cameras. Anyway! Italy is a wonderful country that you want to return to again and again.
