I love southern Italy and in our communication we agreed that Sicily, Naples and all of southern Italy are the same. For an amateur))) Rubbish is the time. Garbage is not everywhere: in parks, in the center of cities, near museums, monasteries-norms. And in residential areas, just on the streets, it's dirty. Lots of migrants, lots of them. Even if the city is not touristy, it is full of strange people. All sorts of beggars, blacks at train stations and in the center, some gypsies or Tunisians ... It catches the eye. Although the locals were also not clean. The cars are all battered, but the rentals, you bastards, give you the latest cars. All sorts of left-handed homeless parking attendants, thieves on scooters, etc. Everyone saw it. But this is in the cities. In the villages, it's great - peace and quiet! Siesta 100%. If it's not a big city, nothing works at all. Even shops. Since where there are few tourists, there are no Chinese eateries, there is really nowhere to eat during a siesta. Even though it's hard to believe.

People are very noisy, but cool. Kind and all. Cheaper than central and especially northern Italy. Much. There are many cities with narrow streets, but the disadvantage of the south is that these narrow streets are always full of people, children on bikes, boys with balls. Nobody cares about your new car. Very stressful. They have a habit of lowering things in buckets on ropes from the upper floors, or lowering (sometimes throwing) garbage bags down there. The mess is shorter, in residential poor districts. It's better not to go into those. In big cities, it is also better to be careful. This is not Croatia and not central Italy. Florence compared to Naples, IMHO, just the perfect city for a car! Well, I won’t say about the beaches, as it differs from other southern territories. I repeat, I have not been to Sicily, but I have been to the south of Italy more than once.
