There were four of us - two adults and two children of 12 years old. First time in Italy. First time in Italy. Before that, in July, we rested in Spain in Salou (Port Aventura Park), so Mirabilandia and the water park in Rimini were not very interesting.
The hotel is 4 * pulls. The rooms are very compact - the room is about 12 sqm, there is a bunk bed for children, the bathroom is cramped for two. The rooms were cleaned daily. We never found a Russian channel on TV. Breakfasts are monotonous, dinner is on the menu, and only 1 hour 20 minutes is allotted for dinner. There are very few fruits, mostly fruits were bought in the Bille supermarket. On the last evening, even ridiculously, we came to dinner at the opening, they laid out plums, peaches and apples, my husband scored a whole plate of fruit, the waiters, seeing this, quickly removed all the fruits and did not endure until the end of dinner.
The sea is across the road from the hotel, the water is muddy, algae are floating. Children sometimes went to swim in the pool, but it was closed for a break from 12-30 to 15-30 (in a nearby hotel the pool worked without interruption)
In general, these are all trifles in comparison with how we spent this vacation. On the very first evening of our stay in Rimini in a supermarket, we met Ludmila (she has been in Italy for 10 years). She offered to take us to different places, and so until the end of the holiday we spent almost every day with her. We visited San Marino, Rome (in the Vatican), Florence, Pisa, Catholica, traveled along a mountain serpentine, swam on a wild beach in a protected area, she also took us to factory warehouses and outlets (how could it be without shopping during the discount season) . In general, we got to know Italy from different angles. In terms of prices - a trip to Rome cost us 100 euros plus the cost of gasoline and the motorway. From the tour operator (Danko) a trip to Rome for one costs 105 euros (105x4 turns out 420 euros). Here is the difference. The only thing we did not have time to go to Venice.

Last August I spent my vacation in Italy, Rimini. Rimini is a small beach town, hotels are located along the beach line, on the opposite side of the street with shops. Rimini is a small beach town, hotels are located along the beach line, on the opposite side of the street with shops. I rested at the Continental E Dei Congressi 4*. I didn’t like the room: small, the furniture is old, the TV is antediluvian, the shower cabin constantly leaked very strongly in the bathroom, something dripped from the ceiling. The hair dryer and shower were “nailed” to the wall! There is no horror mirror in the bathroom... There is no window, only a balcony door. Cleaned every day, bed linen and towels were also changed daily, shampoo and soap every other day. The room was clean. The staff is friendly, I had a Russian maid, at the reception there is also one of the administrators, a Russian girl. All my requests to eliminate the shortcomings in the room (leak from the ceiling, the TV did not work) were immediately fulfilled, although this did not always help... The TV did not work, but I did not need it at all. I only had breakfast included, but I was satisfied with the food: a large selection of pastries, cereals and muesli, yoghurts, cheeses and sausages, a hot breakfast, a large selection of drinks, jams and cookies, fruits. The restaurant in the hotel is large, the tablecloths are always snow-white, the waiters work perfectly. Overall, I liked the staff at the hotel.
The beach is paid, per day: sun lounger-4 euros, umbrella + sun lounger-10 euros. You pay at the reception, they issue a pass and with this pass you go to the beach, it is located across the road.
In general, I imagined a 4 * hotel in Italy a little differently, although I was warned that in Rmini "fours" for the most part are not very good. But this did not upset me, because the purpose of my trip was different (purchases).
Most of all I liked shopping in Rimini! I booked a tour of the outlets: the whole day we were taken to the huge shops and shoe factories of Rimini. A huge selection of branded items of excellent quality is two to three times cheaper than in Russia! Clothes, including outerwear (leather and furs), shoes, bags, accessories. . . I have never made so many purchases in one day, although I am a very demanding customer and it is difficult to please me. So I recommend it to everyone!

But it so happened that when we arrived at Hotel Euromar (it is not on this site to leave a review... ) we were horrified and our long-awaited vacation was on the verge of collapse. The next day we moved to the Continental Hotel : ) and the holiday was saved. I can’t say that the hotel is ideal, but it’s really very worthy - a full-fledged 3k! The staff is friendly, they helped to solve many issues since we traveled a lot - and shopping and the water park and mirablandia, they told us at the hotel and showed us how and where to get. Also of the advantages - daily full cleaning of the room, change of linen and towels. The beach is wonderful and very close. The location of the hotel itself is GREAT! in the very center of Rimini, which is certainly very convenient.
From what is now remembered from the shortcomings - this is breakfast. It seems like a lot of things were, but pall on the 2nd day. Although this is a paradise for those with a sweet tooth - there are many cakes, croissants, buns, jams, etc. I love fresh vegetables and fruits - this was not at all for breakfast. This is the first time I've seen this in a hotel where the breakfast buffet is. And terrible coffee - I've never drunk worse in my life...
But in general, I liked everything : ) I wish you all a wonderful holiday : )

In general, I liked everything. Two days later, a Russian-speaking girl Ksenia worked at the reception, on the beach assigned to the hotel, a Russian-speaking girl Angela. I learned a few Italian phrases, my husband spoke fluent English. So there were no problems with communication. The impression of the hotel is good. The staff is very polite, they cleaned the rooms every day, changed the bedding and towels. It was clean. But there are several disadvantages: 1. Our room was very small (although this cannot be attributed to big disadvantages), 2. you can’t use your own electrical appliances in the hotel: they have a hairdryer, but this is something antediluvian built into the wall. And even with a strong desire you won’t use your iron: the sockets are not the same. Laundry and ironing is included in the additional services of the hotel, of course paid. 3. And on the last day, during the calculation, we almost sold someone else's lunch. But we managed to prove that on that day we checked in late and did not have lunch.
That's all the minus, perhaps. The hotel is in the center, near the bus stop and trolleybus. Everything is very convenient. The beach is excellent and clean. Sea is warm. We only had breakfast at the hotel. We went to cafes for lunch and dinner. I recommend two decent ones: La botte (barrel) - there is a menu in broken Russian, but they cook very tasty, a couple of waiters speak English, as well as Amiko - there is a menu in pure Russian and one of the waitresses is a Russian-speaking girl Lilya. They also cook well. Both restaurants are close to the hotel along Via Vespucci: one on the right, the other on the left.

Continental is a very modest, but pleasant and cute hotel. The hotel is located 1 min. walk from the sea) First coastline. The food is VERY GOOD))) The staff is friendly, like all Italians! I want to warn those who travel to Rimini for the first time: hotels in Italy are not luxurious, the rooms are very, very, very simple, you will not see any chic there. Two beds, 2 bedside tables, balcony, refrigerator, TV, shower, safe. That's all. But most importantly, the food is delicious. Anyway, Italy is not a country where you have to sit in your room and watch TV stupidly!! !

Is there evening animation, is it far from the hotel to the discos of Rimini? Which hotel is better located for evening entertainment (discotheques) and walks? Thank you.
