I ask for advice!!!
Tell me, please, who rested in Jordan, in Aqaba, which hotel to choose, so that it is not very expensive, and at the same time worthy? Pretentious 5 * disappear, "treshki" are too simple, I don't know what to choose ... And yet, where did anyone eat in the city, where is delicious, what are the prices? Isn't it hot on excursions in April-May, which ones are worth visiting and what are the prices? Where did you buy souvenirs?

We rested in the three-star hotel "Cedar", we liked it, the location of the hotel was excellent, the rooms were good, but the breakfast was poor. Located right on the main street of Aqaba, from where the transfer to the beach is 100 meters and the restaurant is the same. We ate at the Ali Baba restaurant, if you leave the hotel on the main street, then go left, delicious food and excellent staff, though not very cheap. In general, there prices are not very small everywhere. We were in May - it was already very hot - especially in the desert and in Petra, so be sure to bring a hat with you. Of the excursions, I also recommend them - Wadi Rum and Petra. There is still the possibility of scuba diving, although the underwater world is not as good as in Egypt (my husband dived next to a sunken anti-aircraft gun, which became an underwater reef - he really liked it).

Of course, you can also go to the Dead Sea plus Mount Nebo plus Madaba, but, frankly, we were not very impressed, especially the sea and a piece of the beach where we were brought - if there is a goal to improve health, then it is better to go and relax there. But in general, if there is a desire to just feel what kind of sea it is, then you can go.

Thank you very much for the answer! Tell me more, please, if the food is not cheap, maybe it’s better to take not breakfast, but HB? What is the approximate cost of lunch/dinner for two adults?

You see, my husband and I are not at all supporters of food at the hotel, so I can’t tell you in this regard. In Ali Baba, a good dinner with wine or beer cost about 40-50 euros for two. And we dined mainly on the beach in bars or in local inexpensive establishments, where a kilo of meat cost us 15 euros for two, but in these cafes you will be the only white people, which causes some discomfort, since all the Arabs stare at you, although I've always covered myself from head to toe :)

I see, thanks for the info, we'll think about it;)

"Ali Baba" is the most expensive restaurant in Aqaba :) There are many great places in this city - both restaurants and eateries - everywhere is tasty and safe (clean and fresh food). My favorites: fish "Stacoza" and "Marsa Saba" on Al-Manara street), "Fish-fish" on Al-Saada street. On the same street there are several more decent establishments - "Gelato Uno" (pizza, ice cream and a lot of different European food and there is Russian-speaking staff.
There are decent restaurants "Capten's" and "Floka" on Shara Al Fundouk Street. It's next to the Hilton.
For prices: for example, in "Fish-fish" the cost of one dish (per person) is from 1.5 to 8 dinars. The most expensive dish, "Seafood Signature Basket", consists of fish fillet, shrimp, squid and lobster and will cost 22 dinars. You can’t cope with this basket alone)) In the establishments I have listed, it’s quite possible to have a TIGHT dinner for 20-25 dinars for two (1dinar = 1.4 dollars)
I would not advise taking food in hotels other than breakfast. Too monotonous food in hotels will make you miss a lot of interesting things in restaurants!
Regarding hotels - write in a personal, I'll give you information.

By the way, about corals and diving. There are some very beautiful places in Aqaba! This is a reserve in the very south, near the border with Saudi Arabia (Royal Diving Center at the Coral Bay Hotel) or next to the free Visitor Center beach, about 15 kilometers from Aqaba. There are also good places near the beach club "Sea Star" (10 km from Aqaba), there is a Russian-speaking dive master.
