The only remark was about the mediocre attitude of the meeting party - the company Joyne up, the guide at the hotel actively offered expensive excursions, but did not warn about the time of departure from the hotel, the tourists found out everything themselves. But this did not spoil the impressions of a vacation on a beautiful island in the Indian Ocean. They will definitely be back there!

Rather, the toad crushed. The fact is that the hotel is located on an island at the confluence of the Bentota River into the ocean. Not only did the boat come to meet us, but the view from the pier to the hotel was so wonderful that everyone got out of the bus not only to say goodbye (during the four days of the trip we became quite friends) but also to make a whole photo session against the backdrop of the river and the view of our hotel.
Rooms in the hotel are of two categories - deluxe and superior. The deluxe suites are located in the very center, in a complex-shaped two-story building. Superiors are located more inland, in one-story bungalows (there are three rooms in one bungalow. All rooms have a similar layout and a small verandah. Deluxe ones are slightly larger and have more recent repairs. All buildings are connected by brick paths, over which floorings from the rain are installed. Then there is in the midst of a downpour (usually in the evening) there is no problem from anywhere in the hotel to comfortably walk to a restaurant, reception, bar, etc. and back.

It rained only twice and then for 10 minutes. The staff is very good, kind! Excursions were taken from the local battlefield Adida, just a great guy! He is smart, tries hard, very kind.....And most importantly, his excursions are not expensive...... he fiddled with us all day, and took just a penny (when compared with the prices of a hotel guide), 2 times cheaper, that's for sure! It's very easy and interesting with him. At the beginning of the holiday, I had a birthday, so Adid and his friends organized an unforgettable party on the ocean, they played drums, sang songs, walked on hot coals, Adida's sister cooked delicious baked fish, king prawns fried with some kind of sauce everything was very tasty. They also brought their own vodka, of course they liked our Ukrainian one more)))) For all this, each of us paid 40 bucks. In a word, I have never had such a birthday!! ! After the ocean, I decided to go to Laluna (a local Ayurvedic center) where they had a gorgeous massage in May. And here I was disappointed with the oil that they used to do before, they replaced it with something terribly smelly that you have to wash it off for a long time and wash your head like that several times to get rid of the smell and the massage consisted only in lightly rubbing this mixture, having concluded, she refused to massage the head, because in addition to the stink, they also pulled out a bunch of hair and asked for just a synchronous massage, but for men to do it, who would understand why they knead the body at least a little.
In general, the rest would have been a success... if it were not for one but... MOSKITUES. Since the weather was rainy and the hotel is located between the river and the ocean, they became more active, I thought that the smart one had scooped up a bunch of ointments, but believe me, the ointment helps once or twice, and then everything is useless. that one day at all lay in the room. Excursion to Kandy is something. Even the long road could not spoil the impressions: we left at 5 in the morning and returned at 12 at night. The elephant ride was fun, we didn't have to ask for a photo shoot. Apparently people are already so accustomed to tourists that they take a camera without special requests) True, they need to give a couple of ruppies, but deservedly)
The spice garden was a little tired, as we were in a hurry to the Botanical Garden and the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Separately, I want to highlight the indigenous people. They somehow behave in a special way, it’s even difficult to explain their customs, but I have never seen so much care and awe for foreigners. You will say, of course, who does not want to have his pen gilded. But this is not so at all... After each excursion (in addition to Kandy, we also went along the Bentotta River, examined the area), we were always asked if we liked everything. I am already silent about the fact that for 2 ruppies we were taken for 2 hours shopping and told where it is better to buy.
