Turtle Farm
It was the first time in Sri Lanka. I liked everything very much, We were in the southern part of the island, out of season, the rainy season usually begins, but it rains for about 5 minutes and again the sun, or just warm and overcast sky. The air temperature is very comfortable, not to say that it is very hot or cold , somewhere around 30-35C. As for the ocean, the waves are big, but you can swim, though not everywhere. We were at The Long Beach Hotel (4 *) and, in principle, there was no inconvenience with the waves, but somehow we walked along the beach, and after 3 minutes of walking, the waves were huge! with a lot of stones, not only you can’t swim there, it’s impossible to go there, and it was also a beach from the hotel. In this case, people took a tuk-tuk and went to the harbor, they take a little about $ 1, there the beach is sandy and the waves are very quiet and calm. We also went on excursions from the company: Kandy, Galle. I liked the tours very much, the plus was that both tours were led by the same guide - Sumudu. Sumudu, speaks Russian well, knows and willingly talks about the culture / life and history of the country. Answers all questions. Always asks if everyone is comfortable, is everything in order. we saw the tsunami museum, a monument erected in memory of him, a huge Buddha, a bunch of indescribable landscapes, monkeys, bats, etc. He will also always advise what fruits you can take to try, where else to go.
