For those who fly for the first time, I want to note that upon arrival in Colombo, you must first queue to pay for a visa and only after that passport control. I did not know about it and stood in the queue at passport control, from where I was sent to pay for a visa. And I want to say that everything is done so slowly that 3 hours is not enough to complete the documentation. Despite the fact that the arrival early in the morning at 3 am and it really annoyed.

Next is luggage. Also a complete mess, we all stood in line for luggage on one of the tapes. It turned out that our luggage was at the very end of the airport, and we also found out about this by chance, because there was no sign from which country the luggage arrived. Further, currency exchange, in fact, exchangers are all located on the territory of the airport itself. Without leaving the building.
Then it was somewhat problematic to find my meeting side, the man really held the sign with the wrong side and I had to puff to find my meeting guides.
Next transfer, everything is ok. Upon arrival at the hotel around 9 am, check-in was waiting for us at 12 or 2 in the afternoon. They didn’t check in in the morning, as far as I understood in Sri Lanka, it’s like that everywhere, I didn’t offer money for early check-in and just fell asleep on the couch at the reception. Next room, very personal, spacious, there was a sofa, bed, wardrobe. Everything is good in the bathroom, the place is really full. A single room without an ocean view, the windows really do not open already in the reviews, someone wrote about this, although this is for the best, since this side overlooks the highway and with the windows open, I simply would not fall asleep.
The beach is quite good, there are no lagoons nearby. Meals: I had breakfast and I wanted the menu to be tweaked a little, not critically.
I took lunch and dinner at the hotel, I actually spent 400-800 rupees per dish on money, I didn’t need much. There was one unpleasant incident on check-out, I always paid all the bills at once, and at the end at the reception I was billed for lunch as unpaid. !! ! I was not going to pay for anything, I asked the staff to get a video filming and invite that officer who recorded something wrong. In the course of the checks, too, it was necessary to collect... The conflict was settled, in general, everything about the hotel.
Excursions: I took an excursion from another guide, his name is Annuj, he is a worker from Tpg. ))))) Level mi mi mi. A pretty one, at our request, stopped not only where the tour was planned, but also where we asked. At prices, the excursion is cheaper than from our agency.

The ocean, for an amateur in the off-season, I'm not a good swimmer, so I had to hang out not far from the shore. Of course, it is probably better to go to Sri Lanka in the season when the ocean is calm and there is no rain. It's my opinion. Although there were people who liked the rough ocean for fun, they did not like the quiet one. As they say, taste and color...
Tuk tukers, even those thimbles, then there is no change, then you are lucky in the wrong place. Then I met a normal Sri Lankan and all problems were solved. There is a fruit market near the hotel, to be honest it was very accessible, 5 minutes walk, there was no point in going to Hikkaduwa at all. There was a grocery store nearby. I tried their cottage cheese, really awesome stuff.
