He flew from St. Petersburg with Emirates Airlines with a transfer in Dubai. Tour operator - Tez Tour. At the airport met by a representative of the tour operator. It took an hour and a half to get to the hotel. Tip: in the same place, at the airport, exchange the currency for the local one (a good rate), and buy a SIM card from a local telecom operator (I had Dialog).
To be honest, this time Tez Tour was a little disappointing: there is no representative at the hotel, the excursion program is small. You can save money by buying a tour from the locals.
Now, actually, about the hotel. Upon arrival, they are greeted with freshly squeezed juice and a wet towel. Officially, check-in is from 14.00, but in my case, since the room was ready, they settled at 11 am, 20 minutes after arriving at the hotel. The hotel itself is quite quiet, calm, the staff is polite, efficient and unobtrusive. Wi-fi is free, the quality is average, ask the reception for the password.

The room is clean, spacious, with a fairly large closet in the hallway, a coffee table and two armchairs, a table and two chairs on the terrace, air conditioning and a separate ceiling fan, TV, refrigerator, kettle and tea / coffee set (cups, glasses, tea and coffee bags). Cleaning was done daily and efficiently. Towels and bed linen were also changed every day. The towels and bed linen are like new. Every morning an employee comes and asks what needs to be washed. The prices are moderate, the quality of washing and ironing is good. In the evening, an employee comes and changes the fumigator. Plus the hotel for the fact that absolutely everything in the room was in order!
The territory of the hotel is shared with the neighboring Royal Palms Beach Hotel, fenced and guarded, well-groomed. By the pool and in the garden under the palm trees, sun loungers (they were enough for everyone). Towels and mattresses are given out by the pool (the latter can be “forgotten”, but when reminded, they will be brought to the sun lounger). Chipmunks, monitor lizards are harmless, but if the room is on the ground floor and the door is open, they can crawl in. The beach is municipal, but there are almost no locals and the ocean is only 20-30 meters away. I draw your attention to the fact that this is not the sea, this is the Ocean! Meter waves are the norm. And one more thing: the breeze softens the heat, creating a false impression that the sun does not burn much, but do not forget that Sri Lanka is almost the equator!
I recommend taking breakfast only. The range and quality is acceptable, but there is a problem with drinks. No coffee and tea, juices from the package and only for breakfast. The bars have freshly squeezed juices and alcohol, but the price is outrageous. Money for additional services and food / drinks may not be taken immediately, but written to the account. On the one hand, it is convenient, but on the other hand, you can “eat” so imperceptibly. You can also have lunch and dinner in local restaurants nearby - seafood and freshly squeezed juices for a moderate fee.
You can get around inexpensively on "tuk-tuks" - small covered scooters. Negotiate the price right away, you can bargain. Fruits and souvenirs can be bought from locals, but you know, the resort - prices. can break. Not far from the hotel there is a small shop with quite reasonable prices.
